Yes he did. None of that really means anything though. Going to be a rock fight. Pate thinks we are going to stay conservative due to JM’s inconsistency to our detriment. I certainly hope that is wrong, but I can’t say his take is without merit.

Both sides can find stats that support their side. Florida is #3 nationally in total defense. Mertz has the second most passing yards through his first two games of any QB in Florida history, behind only two-time SEC player of the year Shane Matthews.

But all that means nothing. If I were betting on this game, which I’m not, I’d pick TN in a close one.
