This "fallout" from JG leaving UT is crazy. Yes, he was a great player for the Vols. Yes we all liked him being on the staff becasue of that. Things like this happen every year in college football. Loyalty and love for a school and a program will always be trumped by money and position status. Just because JG left doesnt mean that CBJ ran him off or isnt the man for the job. Maybe he did. We dont know. BUT I havent seen this much positivity from players and fans in a LONG time. We are all tired of not being good and I think any little thing sets us off and we all run to the nearest corner and curl up in the fetal position and cry "woe as me". Just a few weeks ago some of our fans wanted JG out becasue he couldnt recruit. Now we want him back. Who knows, just maybe we will bring in someone that can close the deal on a 5* stud and we all forget about JG...as a coach.

Good luck Jay. Wish you all the luck and success. Until you play UT and I hope we run destroy your RB's.

You're missing the point. It's not the one man, it's the trend.

What trend? Tee and Jay? Each situation has its own set of facts. Until I see similar fact pattern I will take situations independently. Are there other examples you have in mind?

I'm referring to this program and not just this year with Butch. This goes deep into the university hierarchy and how it's run.

That I 100% agree with you on. The hierarchy of the University is a joke and in shambles.

I just saw where you are located. I used to live in Casstleberry, Fla. and went to church in Oviedo, Fl. Small world.

I play Deer Run on occasion. Don't get over there too much but it's only a 15 minute ride.

$$$$$$ > loyalty. Always has. The biggest question where all eyes should be focused is on CBJ's next hire. It needs to be someone with major conference experience preferably someone that has SEC roots of recent.

Simple we need black coaches so we can recruit black players, a bunch of white kids wont get it done in the SEC it might in the big 10, go ask the hogs coach.

like the football team itself, it does not take much to create fear and panic

And Jay was one of the best, if not the best recruiter on Tennessee's staff. So yes his departure is a problem.
