Chik-Fil-A opener against NC State. Our receivers burned Amerson at will. I was fortunate to be end zone corner, ten rows up with CP and White Lightening catching TDs on a full speed dead fly right at me. Afterwards I heard a small section of the crowd moan at the same time. I looked over and up at the commotion and thought it was a fight with a KO or something. I had no idea we lost a young Vol falling to his death until the next day. That will always stick with me and those unbelievable TDs are very small in the big picture. That is all.

I should have updated you guys on this. Last week, I received a card in the mail from Isaac Grubb's mother. She was thanking Volnation for all the thoughts, prayers and donations. Volnation raised over $5000.00 for the Grubb family - a figure I am still floored by. You guys are fantastic and really made a difference for this family during a difficult time. :good!:

I was at that game and had no idea that had happened until I got back to Nashville and saw it on news. I was in upper deck. Very sad. I don't know how the word didn't spread throughout the stadium. Very sad..

Glad you shared that. VN has always stepped up to support our own.

Life ain't fair sometimes, especially a young man falling to a tragic death Just trying to have a good time. But the worst game had to be Fla or GA I still get sick thinking of last season.

A person losing their life by falling at a football stadium, cheering with their family or friends, is much more important than any football game. It's incredibly sad...

At the same time, I kind of hope that when I go, it has something to do with being a crazy VFL.

What a way to die though. I mean that guy went out thinking "we're back! we're finally back" at a UT game where we lit NC State up old school style. If it's my time and there's no way around it, I wouldn't mind going that way.

GA was my favorite game of the season last year. I thought we went toe to toe with a far superior opponent on their own turf.
