I feel like 40 times are irrelevant in many situations, especially situations QB's often find themselves in.
It seems most QB rushing gains will be less than 10 yards and the QB already has a running start, as he tries to buy read-progression time before committing to the run.
Giving the QB a jogging (pronounced 'hyogging' :crazy: ) start may be a more accurate way to guage their 40 time...

Why is a quarterback called a quarterback, a half-back called a half-back, and a full-back called a full-back?
Shouldn't the full-back really be called the half-back, and the half-back called the full-back?
Shouldn't it be 'quarter' back, 'half' back, and 'full' back - instead of 'quarter' back, 'full' back, and 'half' back?
I'm sure there is a simple reason for the titles being arranged this way - I'm just a little to dense to enlighten myself!
