It looks like Ainge is here to stay. He looked good, and if we had an offensive line and running game to help him, it could have been much better. Hopefully him and Meachem come back next year.

I agree that EA continued to look good, although he did try that underarm throwaway three times. I guess the last time was the costliest since the Gators were credited with the sack. Other than that, Ainge did show a lot of poise last night.

at least Ainge was looking and not his head hitting the back of the goalpost. But yes, he did show poise, even after sacks. We just need someone to block now.

i have to disagree. ainge missed meachum 2 times on touchdown passes that were underthrown. he also got the grounding call in the 4th quarter. ainge will be back because he has no option. meachum is already gone, he will easily be a first day pick.

I'll give you Ainge's first pass of the game as terribly underthrown................

The grounding call is debatable either way..........

You never know about Meachem, maybe he has the fire for Tennessee football and does not want to leave without trying for an SEC Championship............

after harrel this year he is gone. they had it in the student newspaper saying if he had a good junior year he would probably go. honestly to what chance do we have to win the sec next year, all the tough games on the road, and georgia owns us at neyland.

Ainge played is ass off!!! You have to give the guy time to throw. Florida just took it to us up front. On both sides of the ball. Before the game I said we would win the game because we were more physical than Florida. I was wrong. Our linemen got it handed to them. Anige made alot of good plays scrambling out of the pocket. Jason Swain made alot of good plays. The grounding call was a blown assignment by the running back who didn't pick up the linebacker who was on top of Ainge before he could even drop back. It was either get sacked or take a grounding. Same outcome. The Meachum pass was late. It would have taken a perfect throw. This lose goes to the whole team. Not one guy. Ainge done all he could!!

I don't see what else Ainge (or any QB) could have done on that play. The grounding penalty is irrelevant. Bottomline, it was a great defensive call against us and a mistake on the O-line
