Saw it mentioned in the Official Game Thread, but hadn't seen it mentioned yet in it's own thread.

Appears Ferguson is the official backup at least for this game. Saw he was warming up when they thought Worley was going to come out after the thumb injury.

This is not a "start Ferguson" or bash Dobbs thread. Just interesting to see who was picked as #2 yesterday.

Yep. At this point, I hope we redshirt both of them. Next year, it will be a free for all in our QB competition.

Dunno, I can see Worley coming back for his Senior year. As a minimum for his degree since his NFL stock will not be good this year.

But could end up in a Bray/Simms situation next year for certain. But is keeping both as a red shirt mean we loose Dobbs or Ferg if one is favored over the other next year?

Worley will be back. If he keeps improving that's awesome to have him. But if one of the freshman can show they can be a difference maker this offseason I wouldn't be shocked to see Worley become the backup. Would be an awesome backup. Really like him as a game manager and decision maker. He's tough and smart

I see Worley back next year, but I'm not sure he'll start.

You can't argue with Worley's game management. He is a little off target at times and needs to keep the ball on the read option some but he knows the play book and minimizes mistakes. I believe Butch is letting the freshmen develop more. If we make it through the year and are able to redshirt both, that will be great for next year. If they learn this offense the way Worley knows it but can add more accuracy and running ability, we will be good!

Worley is "TENN" times the QB Simms was. He has a win in the column a ranked teams. Also, our offense was stagnant under Simms. Didn't we have a streak of 30 failed 3rd conversions vs the likes of UAB and a down Florida defense?

I was thinking, "Hm... This could get interesting. It could be feast or famine if a freshman comes in."

Worley has proven to be perfectly good, satisfying comfort food.

The camera went over to the side line while Worley was getting his thumb looked at. Then it went over and ferguson was taking snaps and throwing in a hurry like he was about to run into the game if Worley didn't go back in. It appeared to me he was the number 2.

Actually couldn't find the post and was too lazy to search through the entire thread which is why I said "posted in the game thread" so at least gave you props.
