It needed to end with Bruce Pearl sprouting big orange wings and gliding off into the sunset.
Then just as he is out of sight, Tobias Harris and Eric Berry start terraforming the feild and when the dust settles, Stephen Pearl is standing atop a golden mountain... twirling a basketball on his index finger.

I came on here this morning to start a thread about how awful One Shining Moment (the song) was last night.
My friends who know me best know that there are only three things in tv or movie history that have ever made me cry.
1. The end of My Girl. Don't laugh. When she says, "put on his glasses, he can't see without his glasses!!!" you cry too.
2. When Zach and Kelly broke up. Jeff was such a homo!
3. ONE SHINING MOMENT! I always think about how emotional it must be for the seniors...and then I remember my last game and how that felt.
Anyway, last night's version made me want to puke. They kept cutting to Jennifer Hudson in the studio. Who gives a crap about that? I want to see kids sliding on the floor and throwing up halfcourt shots. Also, the song sucked. I know it seems stupid to worry with, but I really cannot understand why the decision would be made to pull the Vandross version.
At least Chism and JP got a lot of face-time. This was a fun tourney, just anticlimactic.
