From what I've seen he knows how to manage a game and how to gameplan. If we lose to the Ducks it'll be because they just ran that hurry up so good we couldn't keep up. But as far as our ability to have a great plan and the players carrying out the execution I really like his guy. Even though Oregon was better than us in 2010 I feel that we made several errors to let than game go from tied to crazy in like 5 minutes. That just won't happen with our team this year.

It's hard to say before he's played a real opponent at UT, but I have a good feeling about our coaching. I have the feeling we can win games or hang in games that were not possible with the last coach. We'll see.

I sure trust this staff a lot more than anyone since 2008. Not sure we have enough horses yet, but we're gettin' there!

By the way, Mo Couch tweeted an apology this morning about letting everyone down, so he's admitting guilt. Bray probably is too. Wonder what his reaction will be...

The second half adjustments have been good, the previous opponents have not. I'm interested to see what happens when the later is reversed.

Totally different situations in '10 than today. Players are way different. These players have had a lot more stability (odd to say) but compared to the mess that the players had gone through then it's been a cake walk for these current players. CBJ luckily has a way easier time now. Also, that huge rain delay, and the changes to the game plan is a factor that can't be left out. Also, a huge factor to not ignore, cause so many like too so they can get their jabs in to Dooley, is that it's hard to gameplan for a team like Oregon when u only have a freshman QB and a juco transfer to choose from.

(random but...I had a dream last night we won in a barn burner. GBO!!)

My main concern with this game is our depth on D. Especially even more now without Couch. teams like bama and LSU could handle it better cause they r 2-3 deep with great talent. Just tough for a team that can't handle it depth wise. Now if anything last season we played games to the end, so these players know how to fight til the end, and stay in games more than the year before. So that gives me a bit of confidence that we can pull it off, but everything will need to go just right.

GBO!!!

I have a better feeling about Butch than I did Dooley. But at one point, I drank the Doolaid. I'm trying to temper my expectations and let them exceed them, but I'm having a hard time doing that.

I have a good feeling. I think win or lose, we will come out of the game tomorrow feeling good about the direction of the program.

If we lose to the Ducks it will be because they are the #2 team in the country and UT is middle of the pack of their conference.

Still very excited we should see some great things from the game, unlike under Dools when things fell apart and you NEVER had confidence they could come back and win.

I think that the Vols will be surprised at how difficult it is to play at Autzen. Duck fans are going to be louder than usual due to the whole SEC vs. The World factor.

Let's give Butch a chance, there is the possibility that the score of the game tomorrow has nothing to do with coach Jones ability. After all he didn't recruit but very few of the players and he wasn't handed a team full of talented skill position players....he inherited a team that's won 2 SEC games in 2 Years, minus 4 skill players now in the NFL
