Coach Jones mentioned about being a CEO and managing people effectively and letting them do their jobs...couple that with an actual ability to coach football (Dooley to me failed in both areas) and having been a winner. I'm going to give this guy a chance...I don't know about you guys...

Agree. Doofus was way too much of a micro manager.

What I also really like...
Jones will also allow former Vols around the program unlike Doofus

The guy seemed really genuine and somewhat sold me just by watching the presser. I can see why recruits would like him and want to play for him. I was kinda fired up after watching it.

I hope the rumor about him bringing his entire staff is just a rumor. It would be nice to have some UT blood on the staff.

If Dooley had been a CEO, he would have done something before the D completely fell apart. USC wide receiver JK McKay was asked what it was like to play for his father, the great John McKay. He answered, my father doesn't coach players, he coaches coaches.

Agreed! If a Coach HAS to micromanage his people, either the coach is not a very good leader or his people cannot do the job in the first place.
