One thing I really liked in the Kentucky game

We were excellent in kickoff coverage in that game. I thought it was effing hilarious when the TV broadcaster prematurely declared it "a bad kick for Tennessee" when we pootched it to the corner of the field and pinned Kentucky inside the 20. We just walled them off and gave them no opportunity to get a return. This team does just about everything on an elite level. I truly believe we can beat Georgia this Saturday and leave no room for doubt that we are the best team in the nation. WGWTFA

We also kicked one out of bounds and gave them possession at the 35. Another was returned to the 30. I’m not a big fan of pooch kicking on most downs. Situationally maybe.

Loved Zach Ragan’s comments about how the team took Levis’s comments personally about how we don’t play “real football”. We basically put a sustained drive out there and ran it down their throats. This team can take your own offensive philosophy and execute it better than you can or run their own and beat your brains in. The tweets that followed this game showed the staff and team took what Levis and his OC said personally.

I liked how we tackled Rodriguez. Folks were talking how he always falls forward for positive yardage. Dline decided to wrap up, pick him off the ground, throw backwards. It was amusing and effective.

I loved when they swarmed on the tackle. looked like ants on a butterfly.

No it looked like the "Vols of old". Way back in my younger days, even if we did not have a high ranking team there was one thing you could count on,,, "gang tackling". We were noted for this type of defensive play , it was not uncommon to have the announcers (even before easy TV viewing) to give you a count of the number of Vols in on a tackle. (many times it would be as many as 8 to10 players).

Just wish our snapper and kicker could get to an elite level; not so much lately.

I had on a game from the Majors days a few weeks ago. The wife watched some of it with me and was laughing and amazed at how man guys would get in on the tackle.

I suppose with the speed of olayers now days coupled with the changing of the game...we wont see that agsin. Yellow laundry for late hits would litter the field in todays game.
