To pretend that Dobbs performance yesterday was anything other than OK is pure idiocy. To not understand that coaches that coaches redshirt players, mainly QBS, to have them as a 5th year player, and not necessarily because they are at the end of the depth chart, is also idiocy.
Its no coincidence that every time It looked like someone besides Worley or Peterman were going to come in, Ferguson was the guy warming up. Dobbs comes in only after halftime. I'd love to hear the conversation between the coaches at the half. I'm betting "who gives us a better chance to win this 0-35 game" was not part of the discussion.
Are you a friend or related? Seriously. HS teammate? You don't burn a redshirt to save the long term solution. It sets that kid back because he doesn't have the ingame experience. Coaches don't hold their best player back. Name one QB here over the last 20 years who was redshirted when he was really the better QB on the team? There aren't any. Even Fulmer chose to bench Leak and Clausen in favor of the QB who gave us the best chance to win. Anything else would sabotage the current team, and coaches don't do that.
There was 1 great throw and it was probably I'll advised. Get real.

If you saw anything other than an OK performance from Dobbs yesterday, you are blind as a bat. Go back and look at these epic plays you seem to think Dobbs made.
Pretty sure Matthew Stafford was in the NFL during Murrays redshirt year and Joe Cox was starting at QB for Georgia.
Probably for the same reason Riley never started. For the same reason Bray didn't start the openers, Clausen didn't start the openers.
They did not go through spring practice and the coaches felt more comfortable going with the more experienced hands.
The only way your argument holds any water is if Dobbs starts against Missouri.
Coaches still believe Ferguson is the QB of the future and don't want to burn his redshirt knowing that game was lost and Worley will be back.
