I love the Mears tribute and winning in Rupp.

This was a very important win.

I'm not diminishing this win but let's hope BP stays and we are competitive with real Kentucky teams :rock:

This win could turn out to be bigger than just beating Kentucky even if it was in Rupp. This could get us over the hump and with the momentum that is building in the program this get truly raise the program out of the ashes and maybe even allow Coach Pearl to recruit nation wide if he wants to.

Not only is Coach Pearl a great coach, he is also an historian. He sought out the wisdom of a coach who was noted for his basketball ability and intense rivialry against teams that were true rivals with the Vols. Also got some fashion flair from this former coach. Of course, Ray Mears, the father of Big Orange Country is who I am writing. That tells me this coach cares about UT athletics and how much he wants to put UT back where it belongs. I know he will enjoy talking too Coach Mears about this win. I am just so proud of what he has done and how the players have responded to his coaching. :hi:

All too true. He has really put in some time to understand where we've been and where we're coming from. Sometimes when you listen to him after a game comparing this year to last year, you'd think that he's been following us for a while. My guess is that he's watched tape from last year, looked at the stats and shook his head in disappointment.

I just want to keep him. I have to admit that I am worried about him being bought away. We have as much money as any school in the nation. So if it is money then I will be upset.
