There are only two teams left that can win the SEC championship.

Georgia and LSU

Laets say LSU wins that would make Georgia #2 in the SEC...right? In the BCS who ever wins the BCS champ game is #1 and the loser in the past has been #2. Why do they project Georgia as SEC #3 in the bowl projections?

Nothing against ya DAWG, but Auburn did nothing but improve. To be honest, Id much rather be in your shoes facing LSU over the Barn boys.

This is the same thing that got UT into the Citrus Bowl many times when they were second in the East behind UF. I think they assume LSU will beat UGA and a two loss Auburn or Bama will get the SEC #2 spot for the Capitol1 (Citrus). Interestingly, if UGA does lose to LSU and let's say the Capitol1 takes Bama, the Peach will have to decide between a three loss UGA and a two loss Auburn. Also, the buzz is that Peach, Outback and Cotton would all like to have S. Carolina becasue their fans are keyed-up and ready to travel in big numbers. If the Peach takes AU I look for the Outback Bowl to take SC. If the Peach takes SC I look for the Outback Bowl to revert to their in-state, assured sellout ways and take UF. My guess is that unless UGA beats LSU in Atlanta the Dawgs will be at the Cotton Bowl. Before you howl keep in mind that is where a two-loss SEC runner-up UT played last year.

Anywhere but the Peach please. The Peach Bowl pays more than some of the others but it gets old playing in the Atlanta. If the Peach does select UGA that means our last 3 games will be played in Atlanta and I am tired of traveling to the Atl. I would enjoy the Cotton. There is great tradition in the Cotton Bowl and I have not travelled to Dallas for a bowl game. Did any of you go to that game? How was it?

Hey Dawg fan. Keep in mind the bowl you guys went to last year was NOT thrilled by the attendance or alck of by your fans last year. I'm sure that certain bowl is not thrilled about inviting you back. If your fans are that pissy about their bowl then you might get directed to the Peach. Be happy you get a bowl and enjoy sunny FL.

As I have said before, the SECCG pairs the #1 SEED from each division to play for the title. The WINNER only is the champion of the SEC. The loser wins nothing -- there are no such things as division championships -- and so the loser is not promised anything.

In this case, if UGA were to lose, then Auburn becomes the clear #2 from the SEC (and they beat UGA).

However, I think GA wins, with Auburn jumping LSU as the #2 team in the SEC. I'm not drinking the yello and purple kool-aid just yet.

No offense dawg...but who cares?

But i can point you toward TN a couple of years ago getting jobbed out of the outback bowl when we went to the 2nd peach bowl....they took a UF team we beat and finished behind us....

Bowl selection after conference champions is based solely on bowl choice....not conf. finish. it's a business decision, period.

Dallas is cool, but the stadium is in a TERRIBLE part of town...don't stay after dark! But you'll have a good time down there...i went back in 90 for the ARK/TN Cotton Bowl...hell of a game and one that i won't ever forget....

who'd be the Big 12 opponent? OK? ISU?

The winner gets a bcs bid. All the other bowls with certain bowls getting the first choice after the bcs. They do not have to pick the runner-up of the SEC-CG. UT didnt didnt get second choice last year. I really could careless where UGA goes to be honest. Why is this even posted on Volnation.

it's all about the $$$$. the peach bowl plans on pulling Florida St from the ACC and having them play UGA. that would create a buzz in the media about richt playing his old school plus both the teams are so close so it is almost a gurantee that the fanbases would travel real well which means lots of $$$ for the peach bowl and ATL

I would say it would be in the best intrest of whoever wins the game to get focused on WVU. Everyone laughs at the Big East but when did WVU stop being a big time football program? THey have played for two NC and have put plenty through to the NFL. I am just saying focus and do not overlook them, they will make you pay for it. :stop:

West Virginia will be ripped apart by either UGA or LSU. Don't kid yourself. I just wish it could have been South Florida instead, what a joke that would've been.
