Nice to see alleged UT fans trolling the Cal mssg. board on ESPN.com. I have yet to actually achieve any mental state wherein I actually think UT wins the opener. Now I see that all I have to do is think like a chicken.

What I want know is why everyone in Vol land finds it so shocking that most in the media are picking Cal to win?

I would really like to hear specific reasons other than the rank and file emotional junk!!!!!

I'm not shocked. I'm never shocked at what "experts" pick.

But I do think that UT will win the game. Not because of any other reason than I think we will start to realize our potential as a team.

i don't think anyone is shocked? well, maybe...

but no one should be that's for sure...Cal is being touted very highly this year, got lots of offense, and by all accounts, their d may lead the way. Corso picked 'em to be in the NT game, everyone thinks the Cal/USC game is going to determine the Pac 10....

and no one knows what the hell to think about 'ol UT....Herbstreit did have a good point on ESPN.com...it's not about talent, it's about chemistry...and if i may add...confidence as well.

by all rights, Cal on paper should beat TN. but they still have to play the game, and anything can happen, especially in the 1st game 2000+ miles from home.

Wow, the media is really on Cal's nuts. I'd say,it's most likley because, if Cal can run the table this year it would be a great story for all these 'Cats to write about. I'm thinking its more wishful thinking than it is educated guess. But I'm bias as hell, so what does it matter, play ball.

Why is it emotional junk to think UT can win and is better (just way underachieved last year) than Cal but is not emotional junk to think the sky is falling and we won't win anything?

Cal looks great. They have talented folks coming back and will be a great game on Saturday. Still think UT finds a way to pull it out. Vols will put in a great effort on Saturday and it will be a good game. Will put on my orange tinted glasses and life will be good again.

Actually, I'm not surprised at all. I think they're wrong, but I'm not surprised. :lol:
