So since eight of the teams in our conference have done it, it's more like any team not named Florida, Alabama, Kentucky or Vanderbilt would do this (and in the latter two's case, it's probably more of a lack of opportunity).

The reality is that pretty much every team does it in the modern era.


As a bonus, I found some from the conference's new members as well:

I'm a bit surprised by Missouri though...they won the Big 12 North twice (2007, 2008) and tied for it a third time (2010) yet they never made rings for it...despite the likes of Kansas State and Colorado having done so for the same thing in the past (and teams like Texas Tech also making them in the South Division)

Division, Conference, Bowl game, National Championship. All are major milestones for a team in any given season. Winning your division may not be a huge one but it is a big deal and worth getting a ring over if that's what the players want.

They didn't. In 2003 they were tied with LSU in conference play at 7-1 records each; LSU however had the tiebreaker, having beaten them 17-14 in Oxford.


So at best they were division co-champions.


What's weird is seeing how Ole Miss was ranked #15 in November after having lost to both an unranked Memphis and an unranked Texas Tech earlier in the season.
