Open Dates advantage.

Just to throw it out there, to our advantage, our open dates should help us a lot.

We have an open date the week South Carolina takes a trip to Arky and then has to play us in Neyland the next week.. We'll have 2 weeks to prepare for a game with them in Neyland.

Also, it pains me to say it, (and I don't expect it to last long) but we can't scratch Vandy in as a guaranteed W.. However, they take a trip to the Swamp and then play Kentucky the week of our 2nd open date, then play us in Neyland.

I'm liking our chances in both of those games under a newly inspired regime..

i like these open dates. these are important games because they will probably be the deciding games of making a bowl.

I hate open dates. I know they're good strategically for the team and all but hate it when it's football season and my Vols aren't on. It sucks, especially when it's twice a season.

Hey one good thing I always look forward to with an open date is I feel pretty sure we won't lose that given day. I kid I kid. I don't ever like having to endure a Saturday without being able to yell pro-fusely at the t.v. It is hard to tell if it is an advantage or a disadvantage. If we are on a roll and the team is clicking, no way do I want an open date. I think most time, however, an open date is a good thing, especially late in the season when players start feeling the wear and tear of the season.

they are hardly an advantage to us fans unless you count the family time spent together and the saturday night sex that can be had when the kids go to sleep. other than that they make for a long and sometimes expense day.

I was alluding more to how our open dates play to our advantage in terms of getting wins.. rather than your personal like/dislike of open dates in general..
