CBJ said he would have this policy. Excellent! Dooley was a doofus with his former player policy. Butch Jones sounds like he " gets it". As far as I'm concerned. If he hires " the best staff in college football" as he said in his pressed, UT football will be back very soon.

Wat else can he say? With the paltry 3 million, I am going to hire average joes??

I do respect Jones for taking up the job and hope he assembles a good staff!

Glad that's going to happen. I do think that he was informed of some key points about TN that would be good to emphasize by the AD. That one seemed pretty clear based on the Dooley error in that area.

Didn't Dooley have an open door policy too? They just had to call first (I don't think it's too unreasonable)? If Jones is as good as his talk and philosophy, we should be in good shape in the future. I don't blame anyone who is wary of "the talk" after how these last few years have gone though...

The MOU said "at least" $3 million

Dooley should of had to call before he entered the building.Former players is what build this program.they earned that right.Dooley thought he was Saban 2.0 and he was building an empire.

There was a widespread rumor about Dooley trying to talk a towing company into towing EBs car one day. I have no idea about the veracity of that, but I have heard it from more than one person.

The tow guy refused.

According to former players, it was more like going through Fort Knox with Dooley.

The more stories I hear about Doofus, the more I realize he robbed us blind.

I mentioned this in the summer about Dooley treating the alum like shyt I got the usual banter. He just can't let every Joe Schmo who played at Tenn in practice. Terry Fair was beetching bout it.. DD was an ass plain and simple, seems like CBJ understands.

The tow guy didn't want to get hit over the middle. :)

Dang...Well I hope being fired was a humbling experience for him and if he ever gets a chance to be a head coach again he'll tune it down on all levels. That's ridiculous. Good for Jones then :good!:
