Raleigh is looking for some hitters...lost 5-0 to South Carolina today which results in the team having scored 7 runs in the 3 game set...team average in the year around .260....bring your bats to Lindsay Nelson Stadium tomorrow for an open tryout at 2 pm

If he can't recruit them does he really need to coach them?

I should go. I'm built quite a bit like Babe Ruth. This is a great opportunity for some unrecognized talent.

Here I am! There are too many people to argue with on here now. I give up! Fire Raleigh! :)

That is the best thing that could happen to the program at this point.

I would love to hear your justification as to why he should not be fired if things don't turn around 180 degrees from right now.

If you are going to pull off a mid-season coup, you better be able to hire someone who could step in and be effective immediately. Otherwise, we have to ride this season out. Everyone on the current staff has some connection to Raleigh. It all boils down to whether or not Hamilton and Company see this season as "salvageable".

Unless a coach gets caught a la Mike Price or something similar I will never advocate a mid-season firing and replacing at the collegiate or lower level.

However, unless he turns things around 180 degrees he should be fired as soon as the ump calls the final out in May.

I'm more of a white Cecil Fielder. But who knows, maybe I've developed a nice swing over the 15 years since I last played competitive ball.
