Opening WR's vs DB's

Kevin Austin runs as good of routes as 5* Terrance Marshall. He'd look really good in Orange for us.

I didn't watch each rep and take notes or anything, but I thought Elijah Moore was noteworthy. Very clean. Thanks for posting.

As for the DB's Blades, Samuel, Hall, Surtain, Radley-Hiles, Griffin, and McMichael (1 rep I saw) all performed well. I like Surtains and Blades agressiveness. They get a good punch, rotate their hips and ride the WR out well. Radley-Hiles has a good game also. I was disappointed in Anthony Cook. He held too much. He got into it with some of the WR's and I think he is not worthy of the 5* ranking that he received. Just not impressed.

Now the WR's, Shorter couldn't be covered. He always got off the jam or just shook them downfield. I'd like the staff to really go after Elijah Moore. He is a really good route runner with excellent hands. I saw Alontae make a good catch. Joshua Moore made some nice catches. I hope Kevin Austin signs with us, we could use his physicality and route running. St. Brown is definitely a 5*, he was killing DB's left and right.

I didn't pay as much attention to DBs first time through but agree with you 💯 on the WRs - St Brown was killing it! Who is he committed to? I also really liked what I saw of Elijah Moore and Shorter.

St. Brown is likely down to ND and Stanford and my money is on Stanford based on Kelly's job uncertainty. His oldest brother plays at ND and may be a 1st rounder next year. His next oldest brother is a freshman at Stanford.

Equanimeous, Osiris, and Amon-Ra are their names. Their dad is a former Mr. Universe.

Wow - athletic and smart! Thanks for the info - do you think we ever talked to him?

Yea, St. brown will probably go to Stanford, plus he's a West Coast guy too. He got the best of Surtain, Cook, Blades too. I think Radley-Hiles played him the best. He had some good reps with him. Austin, Moore, St.Brown and Shorter were definitely the better WR's.

We recruited Equanimeous and Amon-Ra in passing, but things never got serious. We offered and that's about it. They are Cali kids and were likely only coming East for one of the elite teams. Osiris was not as highly sought after, but still a good player. Equanimeous has the most prototypical size at 6-4, 205 lbs. Only a rSO, he has a definite NFL future, and maybe as soon as next year. 58 recs, 961 yds, and 9 TDs as a rFR last year. Needs to add some strength and maybe 10-15 lbs.

We need to get one of these top receivers to go along with Taylor and Harris. Really wish we could land Austin

We need DBs that don't stand still thus getting beat deep, don't hold, and can tackle well......I hope that list is not too long.

I don't like E.Moore at WR like that. He's taking too long to get into his routes. Shorter and Brown consistently won on their routes.

DBs-Blades Jr. and Surtain easily showed why I like their POTENTIAL. They've both got to get more patient at the line though. They were either out to send a message or trying to mirror WRs. Would've loved to see them feel and control the WRs with their length. They are some big CBs, Surtain in particular is a MANCHILD.

SN: I hate the routes they are running now. All this skip stepping and other BS. Also that E.Moore kid was celebrating 5 yard slant catches like they were TDs. Did a backwards flip after one of them. I'm not with any of that BS. Celebrate when you do something big not a slant route in one on one where you got touched right after the catch.

Moore was taking what he could get. The DB's were trying to really send a message to him. He won most of his battles regardless of how they come off the line. I thought Radley-Hiles covered him well, even though he caught a short route on him. Moore is short and small; he's a slot guy. He's not going to be your deep threat like Shorter. Quick routes is his game.

I don't like small guys that can't take short routes to the house. DBs were trying to smash him at the line because he was trying to do that slide step stuff. Funny how a guy as big as Shorter looked to get into his routes much quicker than Moore who's the small guy. I have a problem with that. I don't like Switzer from UNC(because I don't like strictly slot guys) but he's in and out of his routes so fast he's hard to deal with. That's what I expect out of strictly a slot WR who won't go deep consistently.
