Important question. Considering everything going on, it's difficult to speculate. Just for fun, what is everyone thinking?

Hope I include all the major possible answers...

Yes.
Maybe, depends on recruiting and NBA draft factors.

Not sure, leaning towards yes.
Not sure.
Not sure, leaning towards no.
No.

I'm not sure, leaning towards no. JMO, hope I'm DEAD WRONG.

Didn't Stokes say he wanted to beat uk while here? Either way I really hope he stays..

I say he does stay. Seems like the kinda kid that wants to win with us and not looking at the nba right now.

I'm torn on this b/c I think he only goes if he's a top 15 pick. The only way he gets to be a top 15 pick is by having a really phenomenal year and performing well against guys like Noel from UK.

If I say he's going to leave, then that means he had an amazing year for us...but we're losing him. If I say he stays, then that means he had a sub-par year and didn't live up to expectations.

This guy has all the talent in the world to be an NBA player. If he's still here in year 3 then it almost seems like a setback to me...as bad as I want him to stay.

IMO, if Stokes has a decent year, he should go. The draft will be down, especially big men. We'll see.

I say it depends on the type of year he has. I believe he will have a chance to graduate by the end of his junior year? Correct me if I'm wrong, since technically he is a Sophmore and still be in the NBA by age 20. He seems like a degree is important to him and his family. I hope he stays and plays with Hubbs and hopefully Nichols & J3 :)

Depends on how deep we go this year and who is on the roster next season.

Right now id say it's about 60/40 he's staying.

If Nichols committs I'd say it's 70/30.

The only way i see him going is if he is projected top 15. The only way I see him projected that high...he would have to have a monster year, as in 16+ppg 12+rpg.

And i don't see that being likely.

IF he is that 16/12 player, how far can this team go?

He'll leave if he is a projected lottery pick at the end of the season.

But I'd love to see him line up with Hubbs.

Either way, it's a win-win.

Stokes has a great season, becomes a high first round pick, and gives Martin another recruiting point.

Stokes has a good season, wants to improve to become a high first round pick, and gives us more experience and the highest preseason ranking in school history for his junior season.

Very true. And if stokes had a good enough year for him to be lottery, it's likely we had a great year.
