This season I've noticed that in our losses and close games the opposing team has had a big scorer. Some of them having career highs. Quickly browsing the stats I came up with this:

Temple-Christmas 35(CH)
Marquette-Matthews 30
Gonzaga-Bouldin 26(CH), Daye 20
Kansas-Collins 26, Aldrich 22
Belmont-Renfroe 30

Meeks for KY has 26 in the 1st half. More scorers above may have had career highs, I just can't remember if they did or not but I know Christmas and Bouldin did.

We are giving up too many points to the shooters. The big guys aren't tearing us apart; it's the shooters. I think come tourney time this is going to be a huge, huge weakness. Teams seem to be playing their best against us every night.

exactly wat does bruce do in practice? it's obviously not work on defense, and the only offense we have is that stupid flex. i'd just run zone against TN

We have the ability to make good players look great this year. If I were a good player in the SEC looking to get my draft stock up I would find a way to get as many NBA scouts to the UT game.

Its not just guards. Almos from Temple and Aldrich had huge games... Almos was one of the crappiest post players we've played save UT Martin and UNC Asheville and he had the game of his life. Was probably a few more... Heytvelt had a big 1st game.
