Oprah may have won the miss black America contest but jeez, look at how most miss America candidates answer political questions. How many ways can you spell naive and ignorant??

Easy to fool the blind. They are searching for something they know not of, yet profess to have the answers for everyone else. My wife was flipping channels the other day and Oprah had a gay minister on her show that stated that homosexuality was a gift from God...I couldn't believe it, and I still can't believe what I saw.

This story emerged several weeks ago, right? I remember thinking how embarrassing this would have to be for the family of the Holocaust survivor....he got a lot of press, and now it casts an undue shade of doubt on a lot of personal accounts from that era. I think that it becomes very easy to romanticize events from that far in the past, and while that seems like a small abstraction of your personal history - its implications are much more wide-ranging. Oprah does have to be feeling pretty burned by these stories....

Isn't this about the fifth time??

The common theme seems to be subject matter that portrays victimization, which also is a very relevant political theme.

If I were Oprah, I would want a new producer, one that wouldn't keep getting me embarrassed.

Absolutely...at the time that she was hyping this story, there were a lot of Holocaust experts who were casting significant doubt on it. She wanted to believe it...which isn't a bad thing...except for the fact that you're making millions of dollars off of stuff like that.

Oprah and company have undoubtedly studied at the P.T. Barnum school of showmanship, integrity has nothing to do with ticket sales, $$$ is the bottom line
and the world has no shortage of fools who will believe anything.

Sadly I doubt that Oprah fans will find her any less credible even though her veracity has been compromised so often.

Johnny Carson said he didn't think he should use his position as an entertainer for partisan political purposes, unfortunately not many in entertainment these days feel that way.

just look at the guys story. he says some young girl was throwing him food over a fence in a concentration camp. how the hell does a young girl get within 100 yards of a guarded fence like that? any idiot could tell that story had some flaws.

The 'death camp' at Omarska, the massacre at Srbrenica and the market bombings in Sarajevo were all hoaxes.

(Civilians were killed by bomb (actually three separate times) attack in the Sarajevo market and Nato then dropped more tons of bombs in Yugoslavia, mostly in Serbia, than were dropped in all of the Vietnam conflict, but it wasn't the Serbs who were guilty, the bombing of mostly muslim shoppers was an act of provocation by elements of the Bosnian government.
