Orange and Blue spring game....

kid still has work to do on his reads...but at this point he is way ahead of Portis in the passing department..I think he'll see more action than most think.

Yeah, that would be a problem. It is the same problem with Leak. Urban will never be able to run his offense to its best without a real mobile qb. They had that with Portis and/or Dickey, but Leak and Tebow lack that. I still just don't think his offense will work before his tenure is up.

I don't think he's any more mobile than Leak from what I've seen. He has a few pounds he needs to shed, then we may see him be mobile.

Maybe... His Rivals page says he ran a 4.69. That's about all the mobility a dual-threat QB would ever need in college.

He was the #1 dual threat QB coming out of HS and his mobility has never been a factor...his decision making and passing was the concern around Gator Country and from the looks of the spring game he'll be fine passing wise..and I'm sure the decision making will be easier the more time he spends on the offense.

Well, being listed with a 4.7 is decent for a dual threat qb, but not what UF needs. He's not gonna outrun very many LBs or pass rushing DEs with that and who knows if that is a legit 4.7.

He could, seeing as said LB's and DE's would have to change direction mighty quick if Tebow is tucking and running.

That is true, but it doesn't matter because he's no more mobile than Leak from what I've seen. That is not the type of QB they need for that system. Portis was pretty much prototypical for that spot. Schaeffer would've been a great fit.
