Here's just a couple minor reasons the Ducks and puppies don't get along In 1962, Larry Hill of Oregon was tackled by Washington fans who had rushed onto the field at Husky Stadium while he was trying to catch the tie-breaking touchdown on the game's final play.[13] In 1995, Washington head coach Jim Lambright unsuccessfully lobbied for the Huskies to be selected to play in the Cotton Bowl instead of the Ducks
That really happened? Fans tackled an Oregon player on a live play? I know it was the 60s, but that's insane.
Yes, they also lead a campaign to keep us out of the 1948 Rose Bowl. Oregon and Cal and the tie was broken by the schools voting which team should go. The NW schools had always stuck together vs the Calif teams. Washington not only voted for Cal which would have been another "voting" tie and Oregon would have gone. They convinced Montana who was in the conference at that time to vote for Cal as well. So lets just say we don't have much love for the puppies.
