1. Neal fumbles on 1st drive, looked to think he was about to have a horrible knee injury. But the D stood tall and they missed the FG.
2. Had Oregon 3rd and 8 on their 2nd drive and they complete long pass. Don't agree with declining 15 yd penalty to give Oregon 4th and 6 inside the 10. We got bailed out by a penalty for a pic play so kinda got lucky. I feel Oregon stopped themselves here more than we stopped them.
3. 2 nd offensive drive was awesome and made me think we might can actually play with them today.
4. Oregon came right back for their first TD. McNeil missed sacking QB on a good fake.
5. 3 and out on 4th possession with a 4th and 1. *I believe this is where it went downhill fast. I thought we should go for it with the O-Line we have and get the 1st down, but Jones elected to punt. Can't go 3 and out on Oregon, nice punt by Palardy.
6. Oregon's next possession, had a chance to get off field on 3rd and 3 just before end of 1st quarter. Then Ducks hit a long pass and score.
7. 5th possession, after 2 first downs, Worley overthrew wide open receiver. Tiny got beat badly on 3rd and 10 and the guy hit Worley as he was throwing. Palardy punted too long into endzone, missed chance to pin them deep.
8. Oregon's third TD. Their 1 ran right past our #13 for catch and run for TD. Awful coverage. #13 was even giving him a 5-7 yard cushion.
9. Our 6th possession we killed ourselves. Had a motion penalty and a holding penalty that killed the drive. Missed a second chance to pin them deep, but Palardy again punted too long into endzone.
10. Forced a 4th and 6 on Oregon's next possession, and a chance to get a little momentum back and get off the field. Oregon goes for it and Coleman jumps a possible swing pass and lets his man run right by him wide open, with no over the top help, for an easy TD. THE DAGGER IMO.
11. We do nothing on offense again and punt it right back to Oregon.
12. Oregon starts inside their own 10 and goes for a TD in less than 2 minutes with very little resistance. The defense looks done. Butch looks like he could blow up.
13. We just run out the last minute and a half.
**Couple other notes: Punt and kickoff coverage horrible, extremely awful. They almost broke it for a TD 3-4 times.
- Worley hits some throws, misses some. Seems about 50/50 on accuracy. Not near good enough to beat any top flight teams. Must make the open ones.
- It seems the team has all but given up at the end of the half. Does Butch and Co. make good halftime adjustments? Can Butch get the team to play until the end? We'll see.
