Oregon got spanked

Utah looks good this year. I'm not necessarily surprised that they beat Oregon, however, the margin of victory is shocking.

Helfrich is going to kill that program.

They must have just stopped recruiting defensive players. When you give up 40 points to an FCS team (even a good one) you need to reconsider your approach.

Michigan looked good today. They have a chance to make some noise in the Big10 this year. Give Harbaugh another year or two and Michigan is going to be scary.

What I would give for a former player who could coach like that...

I was at the Utah game last night. Here's what I saw:
1. The defensive secondary was easy pickings, especially on the left side.
2. Special teams wasn't ready to play when the game started
3. Vernon Adams QB missed a number of open receivers
4. Receivers ran the wrong routes a couple times

Analysis:
1. Coaching staff from every position coach, coordinator to head coach gets an "F". They didn't have the team ready in any aspect of the game. And they didn't adjust to what Utah was doing.

2. It felt like the team "expected" to win because they were "THE" Ducks, rather than go out and TAKE it to an opponent.

Occasionally you'll see a team that has been successful start "ASSUMING" they will win. Sort of like Texas under Brown. Things go south pretty quick in that situation.

Right now I'd say Oregon is the #7 team in the PAC-12 only ahead of OSU, Washington, Colorado and WSU. And most of those teams will beat Oregon if they play like last night again.

How many snaps did Adams play? When I tuned in it was the backup playing.

Adams played the first quarter and most of the second. They brought Locke in and he led the Ducks about 75 yards in about a minute and a half for a TD.

Considering how good they've looked since, I think UM is underrated

Utah is a solid ball club, not great, just solid. Beating Michigan isn't exactly tough these days. UM is a pretty weak team. Can't see them giving many teams a tough time without some decent recruiting. They've got no QB for starters. Sort of average talent working hard.

Butch Jones would still run the ball
