I know we are expected to lose to Oregon next year by pretty much everyone, but I hope no one would ever cancel it. Tenn. vs Oregon..... I think it would hurt the chances of ever playing them again if we do. I hope Tenn. is going to rebound and play Oregon as one of our early games ever couple of years. Orange vs. Green. I think both have superior fan support and national audiences. Although, if we could beat them any time soon we would probaly shoot our wad and go 3-9.

EDIT-Dang, I had company show up last night so I went ahead and posted what I was writing. I didnt expect it to have so many grammer errors or be hard to read. I actually only use math all day..sooo I am not real good with my English. Anyhow, I went and watched Oregon vs. Tenn. in 2010. It was pretty neat. I just wish we would crush them next year......

This is what got me thinking about it. Greeson: UT Vols coach Butch Jones answers questions | timesfreepress.com

Q: The thought of UT buying out the games against Oregon and Oklahoma seems to be a hot topic right now. Do you anticipate to play those series or buying those games out?

A: "Well, you know what, we really haven't even had that conversation as of today because I have been so busy trying to assemble our staff and our current team and the recruitment of a recruiting class. I'm sure once things slow down, we'll visit those, but I can tell everyone that as of today there has been no talk of the Oregon game going away at all."

Eh, not sure i agree with you on this one. I would rather have us beat the tar out of inferior out-of-conference teams that are highly respected at a neutral site. Kind of like what Alabama did with Michigan. You know, get at a Clemson or a VT on the schedule. Not saying we'd beat those teams, but we'd have a heck of a lot better chance than Oregon/Oklahoma on the road.

Most of this makes absolutely no sense.

We may be.....expected.....to lose vs oregon, but I am going to say that bUTch is going to have the Vols whipped up like they've not been in years, use our O-Line to the fullest, run his high powered offense, run the 4/3 defense and FEAST on some ducks to get his tenure at THE University of Tennessee off to a heckuva start!
GO BIG ORANGE!!!

Now who can argue with that? I think we're all indebted to ajcg98 Johnson for clearly stating what needed to be said. I'm particulary glad that these lovely children were here today to hear that speech. Not only was it authentic drunken Vol gibberish, it expressed a courage little seen in this day and age.

On another note, I already have tickets lined-up for this game, so I too hope we don't cancel.
