Not that anybody watches/cares here, but I like to follow pacific northwest hoops in general, and was absolutely stunned at this final. Seattle is in their first season at the D-I level in 30 years, and OSU is the first team from a major conference they have defeated.

Things started looking better for the Beavers last year under Craig Robinson, but losses like this one and the one earlier in the year to TAMU-CC look like a step in the wrong direction.

hat (or anybody else who cares to comment), could the Beavers be heading for another season similar to the recent 0-18 Pac-10 campaign, and is this the beginning of the end for CCR's rebuilding campaign in Corvallis?

Dollar is putting together a fairly nice team in Seattle. That said, getting disembowled by them at home is inexcusable. Oregon State has been as schizo as anyone in the country. They've got most of the guys back from the team that finished strong last year and added a good recruiting class. I think they're learning that things are tougher when people take you seriously.

TTU destroyed OSU about 3 years back in cookeville. actually, i was surprised to even see a major conference team come down and play us. i'm assuming they've pretty much been a joke when it comes to basketball?

the pac-10 doesn't deserve a automatic bid at this point. truly pathetic efforts all around.

I have to agree. I keep thinking Cal and/or Washington are going to start playing well, then they lose to the Oregons and UCLAs of the world.

howland just gave every team afterwords a blueprint as to how to beat cal. we may very well roll the pac-10 just because it's crappy, but i expect an early round exit.
