Indeed.

I just saw this pop up on the ESPN ticker during the BC game....I was actually a bit surprised. I mean, the guy drives a hummer for God's sake :).

That means the best recruiter/defensive line coach in America is looking for work.

I have a feeling he's going to need a refill of body bags in the future.

Yeah, i think being "Croomed" is going to lose its effect. Not saying that they're going to be winning the Conference, or the West, for that matter, but a very respectable man has done a good job putting together a respectable program in Starkville.

Just hoping, for his sake, that MSU winning 7-9 every year is pretty damn good, and they don't chase him away after a slew of 8-5's or so.

Wonder if he would be willing to come here and put that fence up?

Depends on if the wallet is out...when someone has a niche that needs to be filled, and theres someone with the ability, and wants a springboard to the next station down the line...i'm sure he'd be willing, if we were.

I would love to have him on the defensive side of the ball...the guy can recruit his tale off to, i thought that he would get at least one more year because his teams are competitive.

How many bedrooms does the Tuohy house have? That would be the limit of his effectiveness.

By the way, Joe Dean loved to say the name Sean Tuohy.

Before the Egg Bowl, Ole Miss was last in scoring defense, last in rushing defense, and last in total defense in the SEC. I'm guessing you meant he's the best recruiting-coach combo, but that's still its a stretch. I'd take Garner at UGA over this buffoon.

Then you are obviously 100% ignorant of Orgeron's resume as a line coach and recruiter.

And I don't mean to downplay the job he did at USC, either, but he wasn't even a cordinator there, so less credit is due.

I posted that in regards to me saying he did a "good" job at USC as opposed to "great" at USC.

I was trying to imply that Orgeron's defensive lines at UM stood out more (and were better) than at USC, even fully understanding he wasn't a coordinator at either (minus recruiting coordinator).

they shouldn't have fired him. if he wants it he will instantly be the highest paid assistant on pete carroll's staff next year. people forget that those great dlines at sc in the early years were not filled with 5 star talent.
