Friend of mine is an O's fan and is wildly optimistic this year. By which he means, of course, that he thinks they've got a shot at third.

"I mostly just want to feel like it's worth it for me to walk over to the stadium to watch a game after the trade deadline."

3rd in that division might well be enough of a team to win a few other divisions though.

It's going to be an interesting year for this division indeed. Just hope the Sox don't pull away and hide by the break.

Hopefully they dismember and use Fenway as a city dumpster.

Orioles do not have enough pitching. They have 2 serviceable starters but their bullpen is atrocious.

Pretty sure they already do 81 days out of the year.

Jealousy

Good point.

Jealousy

Actually, unless I get some freebies from a friend with a connection at tickets.com, I don't see myself going up at all this year. Pink Hats have made it a pretty unpleasant and expensive experience.

I really miss the days when we could leave here at 10:30, get walk up tickets and a little buzz, have a good time, and come home for $60 beginning to end.

It's certainly not cheap. Fenway is a helluva place to watch a game, though.

The last few times were on the Budweiser porch, it was awesome, $300 for a 4 seat table, that comes with a $75 concession voucher (not supposed to be used for beer but they don't care), plenty of room to move around, and alot more comfortable than anywhere else in the park.

That's a hell of a way to watch a game.

I've got some pictures on my camera, can't find it though, it must be in my wife's car. I'll try to upload some later on.

After opening weekend the Royals and Orioles lead their respective divisions.

Imagine that.
