Did anyone else notice the OSU assistant coaches at the very end of the game? Shouldn't there be some kind of reprimand?
They were running after the officials throwing punches into the air, shouting obsceneties, no doubt. They sure felt entitled to something. I have to say the officiating went their way until about the last 4-5 minutes of the game...I hate it for them.

Are you always such a poor winner? Tennessee won, fair and square and deserved to win. Stop trying to find things to put down about your opponent. You'll be a better person because of it.

Peace.

I think the coaches were the poor losers, there, pal. I'm just concerned for future officials that may be calling OSU games.

VABuck, its kind of hard to dispute his first observation. I was surprised myself at the one OSU coach who went straight toward the official.

No, you're looking for things to put down about your opponent. It's classless.

There are a ton of great UT fans on this board. Join them. Move on. Michigan State is going to be a battle even with the injuries. I'd be a lot more worried about them and Coach Izzo right now rather than focusing on every little slight you imagine happened in the last game.

We'll worry about our house. You just worry about yours. :)

Larkin,

If a foul had been called are you telling me that the Tennessee coaches might not have approached the officials at that very emotional moment in the game? I've coached a lot of basketball and at the end of a tight game things happen.

Ya I noticed that but who cares we won. All it did was proved to me that their coaches are like their fans (if u haven't read their site it is pretty funny, one of them told UT fans to go f* our cousins or sisters)

This is all in the heat of competition, stuff happens. Let's just be glad we are moving on. The karma is amazing though after 2007, having Oden block the game winner then vs JP doing it last night. Ohio State is a class program and we were fortunate to win. No need to jerk their chain. Save that for Florida and Urban Cryer.....

Dude, I don't have to prepare for anything. I don't think any gamplan I come up with will be implemented. I did say that I hated it for them and that can be taken as classless, but I really don't care what you think. I hate it for you too. Maybe you need to move on to....next season.

How will it help anything for people on thus board to prep for MSU? Seems to me the only or here dispensing advice to other houses is the one telling us about minding our own business. Help me out here.

of course UT coaches would have since there was no foul. The coaches from OSU had no reason to complain

BigPapaVol,

I've had a great time on this board. I'm a regular on LSU and USC boards and even the coonasses at TigerRant show respect to their opponents after a win. I should probably ignore the bandwagoners that jump on after a victory as they are pretty obvious in what they post. A lesson learned for me this morning.

Good luck against Izzo. It's going to be very tough to beat him.

I thought the officiating was surprisingly balanced. And I see nothing wrong with ripping any coach who can't control himself. It was a clear block by J.P. Deal with it, OSU.

This. I would have chased them too. I'd have also looked silly after all of America saw that it wasn't a foul. Good game, peace!

I don't think that Bruce Pearl would agree. Tennessee had five fouls called on them before there was one on OSU inside of 12 minutes in the first half.
There was also a nice stretch of calls later in the second half when JP had two within :20 of each other, Williams was called on a block, and next time down the floor Hopson was called for a charge.
I agree it wasn't terrible officiating, but I don't think it was necessarily even.

I saw it. The first thought that came to mind was EXACTLY how the UT bench erupted at the last second in Columbus three years ago when the ball went into the corner. It was like Dejavu. Except thankfully the shoe is now on the other foot.

Part of coaching is acting, part is emotion. It was of course NOT a foul. But, had the OSU coaches NOT has some kind of outburst I would have thought them to be remiss.

The OSU guy is right. No need to go negative, b/c nothing wrong happened. JMO.

As I remember it, Bruce did something very similar after the buzzer sounded in our tourney loss to Oklahoma St. last season. He thought Tyler was fouled before shooting the three.

I saw it, especially the one guy who went ballistic and went to mid court after the umps. But they don't call it March Madness for nothing. But for those who even think that was a foul I turn your attantion to the other end with about 45 seconds left and the baseline drive by Prince (tip in by Williams). He was hit far more than Turner and no-call. But pretty much all the commentators agreed good no-call, let em' play and replays show Prince 's hand "on the ball".
