"Ohio State interim coach Luke Fickell said on Monday that the problems surrounding his program hadn't hurt the team's recruiting efforts yet.

The key word might have been "yet." A player who had already signed with the Buckeyes in February now wants out because of the turmoil in Columbus.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that linebacker Ejuan Price has requested a release from his letter of intent. According to his high school coach, Price asked for his release a month ago.

"He just didn't feel any stability there even before [Jim] Tressel resigned," Woodland Hills (Pa.) High School coach George Novak said..."

Dawson signed after all the new broke about NCAA sanctions. USC was on probation all season. This is the reason Malik was allowed to transfer without sittting out IIRC.
