OSU self-reported 46 Violations

Rules are rules. It is a joke, but that doesn't justify breaking them. This isn't Urbie's first go-around.

Meyer is reported to have said "good luck" to football recruit Noah Spence at a Dec. 16 high school game, violating NCAA rules prohibiting direct contact with recruits during competition.

I hate the NCAA

It must be difficult to keep up with the rigors of being OSU's AD while moonlighting as the Jaguars GM. This might explain why the Jags took a punter in the third round. Their GM probably has trouble staying awake from pulling the two jobs.

Bow ties + circulation is a deal breaker.

Secondary violations matter if you are currently on NCAA probation

Emmert won't lift a finger over this stuff. apparently one of the violations was an assistant coach taking a dip on the sideline.

This is just ohio state minding their p's and q's so they have the appearance of handling their business

I read somewhere that over 4,000 secondary violations are reported to the NCAA every year. Obviously Urban sucks and is the only one committing them.

I don't know if anyone is saying that but I remember thinking we had a lot when it was like 18 or 24.

46??? Sounds like all they're doing is committing violations.

They've always reported more than any other school. 375 from 2000-2011. Is it because OSU has 36 athletic teams compared to a lot of schools having around 17? Is it the result of the OSU Compliance Department over-reporting potential violations? Or, Do they just like to cheat more than everyone else?

I'm not sure of the answer.

Not sure a dip on the sideline is "cheating".
