I know this is way off topic & sorry mods for putting it here but I thought this should be easy to see.

At 8:53 PM EST All US Combat Troops were evacuated from Iraq, 50,000 American Troops will stay to train & support Iraqi's Military.

It's been a long time coming, remember all those who have fallen. God bless our Troops!!

Lost a childhood friend in Iraq. Great to hear they are coming home , but I don't think they will be home long.

Newscaster in Iraq said that he had talked to some of the soldiers & they told him that they are going to Afghanistan.

Afghanistan is the easy answer for me. I still talk to the Father of the friend who passed and he keeps talking about Iran. Hard not to agree.

Great news. Glad to see a campaign promise lived up to. Welcome home troops and thanks for all you do. I don't think the mods will mind this being in the wrong forum.

I was there during the invasion (March03-Feb04). In a way, it seems like forever ago, and in another, only yesterday...

How many troops (not labeled combat) troops will stay in Iraq and for how long? I bet the word "combat" is meant to make it sound like we are leaving when there will be some sort of very large "peace time" or other term for the troops we leave over there for a long time.

50,000 non combat troops will stay to support & train the Irqai military, but they are scheduled to come home in a few months, according to the news.

wonder how many contractors are staying alongside the 50,000? Seeing as how they are on our payroll as well.

Speaking of news, I can't find anything online at CNN or FoxNews. Seems odd.

Good to hear. We should be proud of what they accomplished. I have several friends and family members who have served in Iraq and am blessed just to be around those type of people.

Thanks again.

I'm watching it on MSNBC tv right now, they are the only ones that covered it live.

Why would Fox want to cover anything that paints a positive picture of Obama? Fox blows. Welcome back boys!

It's sad that something would not be reported due to political affiliations and agendas. That goes for both sides. They are both full of ****.
