Would he happen to be the grandson of late former UT AD BobWoodruff. I know Chris's dad, also named Bob Woodruff, was on the faculty at UT.

I went to Bearden High School with him! He was class of '91, I was class of '92! I saw him around UT a lot too.

He won the singles national championship one year at UT... '93 or '94 I think.

BTW, I really don't think he is related to the former UT AD... but I didn't know him that well.

I had his dad for some classes and worked for him as a research assistant. I learned a ton from him - stuff I use regularly and I've tried to pass it on to my students.

They aren't related to the AD.

I was also a '92 grad of Bearden.

Anyways, I had PE with Chris in HS and I don't think he liked me much since I was a sophomore who could out run him. I kid about the not liking me part but he was extremely competitive and wasn't used to losing.
