If Pearl is still around- 50% chance

And

If we are not hit hard by the NCAA- 15% chance

We will get some of those players!

But look on the bright side- We still have a chance

No Tony I hope we could can get him. But of course I would be really proud if we could land both Stokes and Poythress.

Not feeling so great about this recruiting class. Bruce Pearl has never been a star recruiter so what makes you think he could do something like this? Elite Eight. yes.

Three of those guys you listed (Poythress, Stokes, and Goodwin) are all visiting this weekend for our game against UK.

Why do you assume it will be hard to pull Stokes from Memphis? I believe we lead for Stokes and it seems like he is definitely leaning towards Tennessee. His brother goes to school here and Cameron Clear is one of his best friends. It's his second visit to Tennessee this year. He also has been following the NCAA violations process and says it doesn't really affect him. 2012 will be a special class, Stokes will be the first to commit.

It's because pulling any Shelby Co. basketball player from the jaws of Tiger High is much easier said than done. If you've never been in Memphis you'd never understand it. That city lives and breathes off of Tiger basketball. It's sickening. Thousands of Vol fans that live there are Vol football fans, but start wearing blue right after the Kentucky game. We lose out to other schools in football for Memphis-area players for other reasons. We lose out to Memphis because basketball players grow up wanting to play there.

Memphis isn't the same without Calipari. Chris Jones will be a Vol next year, who is another Memphis star. Unless Bruce Pearl is fired I really think we will land Jarnell Stokes. He doesn't seem to really care about the NCAA violations because they will more than likely be in effect for 1-2 years and not really affect him. People need to read into what these players are saying rather than assuming things from the past. 1. His bro goes to school at Tennessee 2. He visited for Bama and is visiting again 3. His best friend goes to school and plays football for Tennessee
This kid has many reasons to come to Tennessee and I think he will commit soon.
