I know everyone is saying we need to pick up more o line men and i agree... but what do the guys we already have committed look like... their all 3 stars, but are they underrated, need time to develop, etc.? i doubt they will be ready to contribute next year, but what do you guys think about them???

Fulton- underrated, but he is starting to get noticed

Pair- He was small when he came to camp, but he still dominated. Ive heard he is getting bigger too

Jose Jose- opposite of Pair, Too big, but he is still quick for his size and was rumored to have been losing weight

Those guys outperformed highly rated Jame Stone at our lineman camp. They are very underrated guys because of their size, but their size is what makes them a perfect fit for our offense.

We will get some highly rated guys at OL, but don't be surprised if Fulton or Pair end up with the better career.

Speaking of Offensive Linemen....ESPN is reporting:

ESPNU 150 offensive tackle JaWuan James decommits from Alabama
JaWuan James (Suwanee, Ga./North Gwinnett), an Under Armour All-American, has decommitted from Alabama according to ESPN affiliate Web site CrimsonConfidential.com.

Those rumors about him coming to Rocky Top are looking better...

Fulton and Pair are both very underrated..they will move up. I think Jose Jose is further behind in mechanics, but as previously stated, definitely has the size

What about Marlon Walls... Does he have the potential to play on DL or could he make the switch to the OL?

Its been proven that offensive lineman is probably the hardest to evaluate with the exception of the occasional freak so I don't put much stock in their ratings but I do in our staffs opinion of them. With a lineman you don't see much of him normally against good competition because most big time lineman recruits outweight the guys they block by about 50 lbs and don't face many near their caliburs. Its not like other positions based on athletic ability. With a lineman you also need a certain kind of lineman for your system depending on if you run a power running style offense, zone block, how much you pass, amount of screen plays all that plays into the kind of lineman you need. So if we thought they were good enough for us, they probably are.

fulton is the most ready physically out of the 3 we have now...Pair needs to add muscle and Jose needs to lose weight

Oline projection as of right now for next yr imo:
T:Douglas/Shaw/Fulton/Schoefield/Pair/Dallas Thomas( pretty solid but could use a JUCO guy)
G: We need some JUCO and HS guys here bad..otherwise we may be looking at Daniel Hood/Brimfield/Cody Pope/Minor Bowens...Shaw or Thomas could move inside if Schofield and Fulton step up...Hood is going to be a good one imo but how soon is the question
C: Jose Jose/Kevin Revis = not sure about either one since we haven't seen enough...One thing about Revis and the old staff is Fulmer was always good at finding Centers

dont have time to develop we need contribution asap

Ditto. May need to go the JUCO route if we can land a superstar or 2. Ironically, this is one area that the Fulmer regime did not fare well in the past 3 years concerning recruiting. It showed last night and could be far worse next season.

I trust CEO's evaluation of lineman on either side of the ball way more than rival stars. I think we may be surprised as to how much these guys contribute early. Jose Jose was told to work on his weight after his commitment is what i understand.
