For next season I think we really need to find some experience especially on defense.
Would love to find a great dline pass rusher and an lb with some great speed.
Maybe on offense, a left tackle.
Your thoughts?

I know a lot of people are focusing on our lack of a pass rush, but I think we are currently handling our biggest need on D: getting some run stopping DT/NT. We have two JUCO DTs committed right now. Our LBs will be fine, especially if we somehow add Pappoe or Toā€™otoā€™o.

OL will be in good shape for a long time if we hang on to Morris, add Wright, and make sure that Lampley and Akporogene are a priority. If we somehow manage to add Ndoma-Ogar and keep McBride, it will be the filthiest OL haul in a decade.

We need way too many playmakers for next year to just rely on high school guys if the goal is to win right now. I believe we have to find the right JUCO and transfer mix. I have no idea how that will work out though. We're not getting much help from either of those type players this year. For long term success, bring in the best freshmen for two years and coach em' up :):).

How many guys transfer after the season also? Or told to look elsewhere because of their attitudes.

I think Pruitt should go after Jalen Hurts hard, and I mean hard. I know he would only be a one year player but I think with his dual-threat ability he could really help our oline out. I think JG is a good player, but I just donā€™t know if he can ever put it all together.

I doubt Hurts transfers

JG isnā€™t the problem, at all. Hurts is clearly the better athlete/runner, but JG is the far better passer from the pocket. He needs better protection and another year of development and we can win a lot of games with him imo. We have far more pressing needs on both sides of the ball than qb.

Do elite DBs and DL really do grad transfers? Seems like most of those types would declare for the draft after 3 years.

Probably not unless their team gets the death penalty. But you could be the 3rd 5 star DT on bama or Clemson and want more play time as a RS Soph.

Biggest needs from the JUCO route:

DTs
DEs
OLB Speed rusher
OTs
