Dickenson out shot our guards from 3 yesterday to go along with having his way in the paint. Just a player we don't have an answer for right now.Personally feel like our centers have to do a better job at protecting the rim! Michigans center had a huge game yesterday! And Uros and others couldn’t stop him! Still no excuse for the whole team not playing the best ! Just my thought

Agree. I think they wanted to play it safe by going with the veteran player, but it cost us.I thought they should have rotated Uros and Aidoo on him.I think Aidoo would have done the best job. Idk if it mattered , but Fulkerson at 5 inches shorter was guarding him in the second half. He did what he could but he is to big for him...I thought that was not a smart move by coaches.
Idk if comparing our centers to the guy who may be the best center in college basketball is going to be overly productive. Guys like that are insanely rare.
Should we be designing our team to handle the rare possibility of facing a center who is 7'1, can pass, hit 3's, and beat our center off the dribble when he catches it around the arc?
I think we need a 6’10 - 7’0 big guy from the portal who can give us an inside game and end a scoring drought. Plus have enough quickness and size to defend the opponent’s big men.
Michigan, Zags, Auburn, Arizona, and others have that. Ohio State has a big guy who can score inside while defending the post, too. Strong guard play is a must but having a big man is so important in March to reduce scoring droughts and rebounding.
I love Uros as he loves this university and had a ton of passion, but he doesn’t possess the skills to be a game changer on either side of the ball.
I think Uros has came a long way and actually played well. A year from now, I think he’s going to surprise us. Those 7 footers can take a bit to grow into their bodies.
I still think we are over evaluating one game. If one more shot falls for us at any point, it’s a different game.
I get too emotional when the game is on to be objective. Today, I have wondered what adjustments we could have made to change the outcome of the game. 1) It felt like Michigan had the option of either the middle or open three pointers compared to our open shots. 2) Their length and physical defense definitely disrupted our rhythm on 3 pointers. Like Vescovi said at the press conference after Longwood, if he gets comfortable early, it makes it easy. They made the rhythm of our outside shots difficult early and we did not effectively adjust. Because we have so many shooters, it usually makes us hard to guard. 3) could we have deployed multiple screens to get our guys more open? 4) What defensive adjustments would have made their big- Dickinson more uncomfortable-I don't think we disrupted his rhythm. Could we have utilize a box in one to keep a man on him and collapse when he got to far in? Do we have the personnel or experience for that?
