Here is how i think we fill our last 11 spots position wise

QB: I think were done here unless some big name guy opens his recruitment back up. I would be surprised to see anyone new get an offer now that we have Bray. I think it is very unlikely we get any other QBs.

Already Commited: Tyler Bray
People to Watch: Jesse Scroggins

RB: I believe we will only take one running back in this class. That being said, if both Dyer and Seastrunk wanted to come here I doubt our staff would say no thanks to one of them.
Already Commited: None
People to Watch: Gio Bernard, Lache Seastrunk, Micheal Dyer, Eduardo Clements

FB: Were done here we have Fugate.
Already Commited: Channing Fugate
People to Watch: None

WR: With Milton and Ambles already in I think that we will take Cobbs, and possibly Stills or Meline but I would say it is most likely we take Cobbs and call it a day.
Already Commited: Matt Milton, Markeith Ambles
People to Watch: Demarco Cobbs, Kenny Stills, Ted Meline
TE: I believe Jones is going to be a TE in college so i am putting him under this category. The only way we will take anyone else is if it is Christian Thomas.
Already Commited: Delvin Jones
People to Watch: Christian Thomas
OL: Our staff is going to add as many people here as possible. I think a safe bet is that they will add 3 or 4 people to what we already have.
Already Commited: Jose Jose, Zach Fulton, Marquis Pair
People to Watch: James Stone, Morgan Moses, Arie Koujanido, JaWaun James, TJ Leftheit, Damien Robinson, Chuckie Curry
DE: I think our staff would like to add one possibly two people to our DE class. That being said they will have to be elite guys.
Already Commited: Jaquizz Smith, JC Copeland
People to Watch: Ronald Powell, Ego Ferguson, Gabe King
DT: The staff definitely wants to add a couple players to the D line, but i doubt they will take anymore JUCOs. It would be nice to see a couple of big name guys added.
Already Commited: Risean Broussard, John Brown, Pat Harris
People to Watch: Kelcy Quarles, Todd Chandler, Brandon Willis
LB: With already 3 LB commits, our staff is going to be looking to add probably 2 more but they will make sure they are elite guys.
Already Commited: Ralph Williams, Micheal Taylor, Bruce Irvin
People to Watch: Jeff Luc, Josh Shirley, Khairi Fortt
CB: I think we will only take 1 CB in this class unless we get Joyner and Riggs. I think our staff would take both of them but I doubt we will get both of them.
Already Committed: None
People to Watch: Lamarcus Joyner, Cody Riggs
S: At the very most we will take two if those two are Keenan Allen and Dietrich Riley. I think the most likely is we get Riley and call it a day.
Already Commited: None
People to Watch: Keenan Allen, Dietrich Riley
K: We are done with Palardy
Already Commited: Micheal Palardy
People to Watch: None

All this being taken into consideration, how do you think we fill our final 11 spots?

I say it will be:
Gio Bernard
Demarco Cobbs
James Stone
Damien Robinson
Arie Koujanido
Kelcy Quarles
Brandon Willis
Jeff Luc
Josh Shirley
Cody Riggs
Dietrich Riley

that would be the number one class in the nation.

Nation? That would be the #1 class in the cosmos. Maybe Terelle Pryor, Jon Bostic, Eric Reid, Joe McKnight, D.J. Fluker, Vontaze Burifict, Sean Spence, A.J. Green, Matt Barkley, Herschel Walker '81, Brian Bosworth '86, Bruce Smith '84, Deion Sanders '86, Jim Thorpe '11, Deion Sanders '87, Nagurski '27 and Julio Jones will transfer here next year too.

without a doubt #1, wishful thinking though. I heard rumors that Jeff Luc wants to commit to florida, that would suck though I think he should be priority number 1 for our staff. He would be a lockdown middle LB for atleast the next 3 years, he's a physical specimen for sure.

I thought this was a great post. I am not sure why you left out the JC OL Cullen.

I also believe that Lane Kiffin believes he will have the number 1 class in the nation.

I want Dyer more than Bernard, but I understand why we may get him instead if Dyer is at Auburn.

I also really want either Powell or Ferguson and it seems like we really should have a shot with Ferguson especially if we can convince his friend Arie Kouandjio to come. Arie's brother should get an offer and we should take those 3!

This is one of my favorite posts on here. Haters will come and try to tear the post down, but we are in it for everyone you listed.

Luc seems like the largest stretch since we are supposed to be way behind FSU and some people are saying he will not leave the state, but I think they said the same thing about Nuke. He would be an absolute beast in Monte's defense and it would make me so happy to see that kind of talent back there again like in the days of Al Wilson, Raynoch Thompson and Eric Westmoreland. Would be happy to get Fortt also and do not think we are totally out of it with him.

IMO, LUC makes this class, whether we get another commit. He would be the BB of this year's recruiting.

For whatever reason, most people on here are so beaten down by the Fulmer era that they believe we should be content with a 9-10 class that gets some solid 3*s.

Kiffin said he would build the best recruiting staff in the nation. On gameday this Saturday he said he expects a number 1 class this year. He also coming off 5 wins took J Jackson from LSU (helped by coaching chance) Oku and B Brown (helped by nothing but himself) and took Myles, and took Richardson and Teague.

This staff can recruit! Imagine Fulmer with Garner. Now realize that Garner was one of 4-5 guys like him we wanted on this staff. I think a large reason he stayed at UGA was because he saw that at TN he would be one of the many stud recruiters instead of THE stud recruiter. L Thompson, Gran, Orgeron, Kiffin himself. I mean we are looking at guys who can tell recruits they can play for an NFL legend.

If TN loses to UF but still wins 9 games this season and Monte freaking kiffin is calling a Florida kid who wore his bucs hat to bed at night and saying "with you on our team we can win championships, our defense can be famous and your class will be known when you are knocking people out on Saturdays and when you are earning paychecks on Sundays." You think the players down there like Luc are going to say, "naw I like Mikki Andrews more" or "I would rather hang out with whoever replaces Strong."

People need to unmope themselves and see the new reality of TN football recruiting. We take who we want!

On offense it was tough to get a QB because the product we had to sell on offense was truly one of the worst offenses in the COUNTRY! A top 40 finish for our offense running up lots of points on Ohio, UCLA, KY etc will completely change the perception of our team. We can sell with our offense Peyton Manning as a big proud alum but Drew Brees as a product of our coaching. The great Auburn backs, the great USC backs, coached by our coaches.

We have quite a package. In an NFL world especially on offense FSU is where great players go to die. Florida is not tearing up the world with all that talent in terms of NFL players on offense either.

Guys get used to it. Kiffin built a staff to recruit better than anyone else in the country and now he is building a program to attract those young men you are saying above we cannot get.

Great post! This is most definitely the attitude our coaching staff has towards recruiting, but the only thing that is going to change the fans attitudes is the results.

Getting Peyton Manning changed the landscape of UT recruiting for Fulmer, and IMO saved an extra 7 or 8 years of his career. When we got Manning we got a once in a lifetime superstar. One that made players all over the country say "I want to play ball with him." Then the recruits started rolling in. The Al Wilson's, Jamal Lewis's, Travis Stephens and Henry's, all of the players on the '98 championship team were products of the Manning era recruiting.

I think Kiffin has a chance to do the same now. Not with a superstar player, but with another opportunity. By chance, he has an opportunity to revamp a program that was elite a decade ago, he has the facilities, and the coaches to do so. This could be the next Golden Age in Tennessee football, but only time will tell.

exactly, i just dont see how good offensive recruits can go to FSU. Their O line made me sick they werent getting off the ball at all. We will def have a great class this season but I'm thing the 2011 class will be more number one class potential

It was a good post...but I don't think they are being haters....just realistic. We still have a ton of games left to play that will determine alot.

And when you say we take who we want...are you being serious? If that was the case we wouldn't have 60+ offers out there.

The Florida game is going to be huge this year for recruiting purposes. Every single recruit that has stepped into the Florida locker room has seen the signs that we have all seen on you-tube, the UT sign quoting CLK.

I beleive we can take more than this, just because we only took what was it last year 21.

The new SEC rule will not allow any school to sign more than 28 players. No matter how many you back count, you can't sign more than 28. You can thank Houston Nutt for that new rule...

yeah vader has a good point about Luc. Obviously anyone wanting info on him check out his thread. There have been multiple people talk to him and there is at least interest in Tennessee. Hard to say that for the likes of Powell for example.

I would like, for our final 11, to see:

Damien Robinson
James Stone
Jeff Luc
DeMarco Cobbs
Cody Riggs
Gio Bernard
Ted Meline
LaMarcus Joyner
Khairi Fortt
James Hurst
Ronald Powell

I think Powell is a long shot, BUT....I think if our Defensive line continues to play dominantly and intensely, he may look long and hard at coming here. Luc is also a long shot, but I don't feel that he is as much of one as Powell.

I suggested we steal Hurst from NC, but doubt that happens.

But if we could lock down those 11, it would be an AMAZING class. Powell, Cobbs, Ambles, and Luc would be the highlights. Bray won't hurt either.

Yeah, can we count God and Fabio along with that class?
