Much like Service Academies run the ground based option, our offense is a fast paced option, covering the entire field.

Every play called from sideline has a pass or run option.

Every running play has a hand/keep option.

Every pass (because of our alignment) contains players to read. Hyatt is getting the ball deep because Hooker is reading the safety.

We run the plays fast and our QB is diagnosing the defense faster than they figure out our play. Its that simple.

Georgia will be the biggest test of the season..They are loaded with talent, especially on defense.
At some point Georgia will lose a game. Will it be this season, no one knows.
Tennessee has a shot, got that mojo working.

If UT beats UGA, they'll play Alabama in Atlanta with a 12-0 record for the SEC championship. I sincerely hope LSU or Ole Miss beats Alabama as UT would curb-stomp either of them. I don't believe anyone can beat our Vols except for perhaps UGA due to their ridiculous level of talent in nearly every position.

Nevertheless, I did not expect to be typing what I just typed in early August. It's great to be a VOL.

Don't know how to assess the ability of our OL to give HH the time it takes for our plays to develop. Don't know what switches we flipped on defense to come up with this most complete game at LB and DB and how that will translate against a team as star ladened as GA. Great coaching and great execution by an ever-believing group of players. More evidence of REAL teamwork than I ever remember seeing at UT. More than just a confluence of talented players executing in their individual roles. Even EVERY TV interview is impressive with the consistency of message and how it is delivered with class. Last night's big surprises for me were Slaughter and Walker.

"You can practice defending the plays. You can't practice defending the speed." - paraphrasing Nick Saban (one of the coaches we beat this season)

Going into the Ga game my two concerns are protecting HH and the kicking game.
Extra points and field goals are huge in championship type games.
The winner in Athens will represent the East in the SECC game.

I’m no analyst of football, but he had plenty of time and little pressure against Alabama. Is Kentucky’s pass rush actually better than Alabama’s?

This coming Saturday we will show the college football world we are back. The exciting thing is this is just the beginning of a storm that has been brewing for the last 15 years. I can't wait to see what we are like in a couple of years.

I think we have already shown enough to be considered "back" IMHO

It looks like everyone involved is putting in the work. Our players on both sides of the ball are recognizing what they see on the field from their film study.

It’s a bad idea to play to your film against JH.

The Vols are great this year, but not invincible! We coulda lost to Pitt, Florida, and Alabama. In my wildest hopes, I never imagined we’d be unbeaten at this point in the season and hope for the best against Georgia, but we have already outplayed the expectations. Maybe we’ll win, but even if not, it’s been a hell of a good ride this season, and hopefully many more to come. At the beginning of the season, all of us hoped Tennessee would be ranked in the top 25 at the end of the season, but due to the exceptional play of our beloved Vols in against some good opponents, we leapfrogged right into the into the NCAA championship picture. Just WOW!!!!!! Long live CJH!

I keep seeing comments about TN lack of talent. I disagree. Maybe they didn't come here with a bunch of stars but VOL warriors and speedsters have been coached up. Every week we see more cream rise to the top.

I don't coach, grade, or recruit. I'm just a fan with a pair of eyes. Talent wise, we've matched up with every team we've beat. It will be the same with GA

Coaches have done a phenomenal job developing players & coaching them up, & the players putting in the work. Play-calling and mixing them up have been a bright spot as the plays are not obvious to the other team, as in the past. Great job by all!

The good news is UK runs a similar offense so we had an extra game to prepare for the run fits and play action
