So we finish with some combination of these guys. I took the Vols Football Prospects list and did a small write up on the guys who have offers from us.

Offensive Tackle
Chaz Greene Florida commit we would love love love to be the one we pull away from them on NSD. Would be great no matter who we get to commit, but will not be as highly coveted IMO in 3 weeks when we have announcements of stud OT's.

Matt James would be smart to do what many people think he will do, and that is stay in Cincy and be a Bearcat.

James Stone very strange recruitment. He should be a must get lock it down in state prospect, but he played like absolute crap at the UT camp. That was blamed on him not getting sleep the night before. Now that Jacques Smith made him look silly in a H.S. game I wonder if he ends up "choosing" Bama. I know I would rather have 5 other guys on this list at OT.

T.J. Leifheit can we beat out Butch Davis? I am hoping so. Two visits in a row and his dad liking the place along with a budding relationship with his potential future coaches is great news. He would be a huge get at a position of need and would be an EE like Jose Jose.

Dan Koenig future Cowboy had to enjoy watching them beat Georgia and hate watching them lose to Houston.

Arie Kouandjio we are in this more than I thought. I believed he and Ego would end up playing for Shannon at the U, but we may be serious players here.

Damien Robinson
In state Miss schools are battling for him along with the rest of the SEC West. The Auburn Tigers have Trooper Taylor after him. I think if Stone goes to Bama, there is a good chance we get him, and I would rather have him than Stone any day.

Nick Demien solid to Missouri.

John Cullen JC Come East young man! California JC product looks fantastic and could help us out right away. Utah or us? Yeah I think we end up with him...

Marques Pair I stand by the prediction that he decommits and probably ends up playing for Spurrier.

Chucky Curry JC I will not be surprised if he stays in state at one of the SEC schools. He I think is down our list quite a bit from these other guys and he knows it.

Morgan Moses I think we end up with him after Groh is fired. People are right to point out that he loves Latrell Scott, but I do not think he goes with him.

JaWuan James
I think we get him over UGA. I think he may already be a silent to us. I think Alabama will not do as well with Stone as with James, but I also think Bama lost him because they have backups to backups who would be starting for us right now on the Oline.

Offensive Guard

Charles Barkins...I am not going to pretend to know anything about this guy other than he has an offer from La Tech and is waiting on SEC schools. I do not think he ends up getting an offer from us.

Jose Jose an EE who has lost weight as he gets faster and stronger before even entering our program. Could well be our future center.

Torrian Wilson seems solid to Stanford who has a great class somehow

Dalvin Glass We are in this with Bama and Kansas State? Strange company...I think we would take him only if we miss on guys I think we are getting.

Zach Fulton from Illinois who the staff loves (and whose dad is friend's with Prater's which gave some us some hope) because he looked the best by far at our camp...He will be a Vol, and he should be a very good one.

Laken Tomlinson
Enjoy Duke. When you are the stunner of a signing class as a 3 star you know that you will be a big fish in a small pond.

Offensive Center
Brandon Linder is this guy OSU, Miami or UF? I do not see us pulling him, although I always wanted it given that we will have his teammates in Knoxville. I doubt Weis pulls him also. I think we fill this role with Jose Jose.

McNeil, Sullins, Mclendon are all gone after this year. Are we going to start a True Freshmen at Center? Does Cody Pope fill this void next year?

Good Post by the way, MHFan

I know Kiffin & Co. know way more than I do, that’s why they get paid the big bucks, but we need to get as many of the JUCO linemen (Cullen, Curry and whoever else) as we can to give immediate depth to next year’s line... Then if we pull James, Leifheit, Robinson, maybe Arie Kouandjio and then throw in Fulton, Jose Jose, and Pair who have already committed, we will have some studs to work with for years to come.

I am really high on Kouandjio and I think we have a good chance with him. I can't wait to hear Bob Kesling try to pronounce his name hahaha GO VOLS!!!!

I may be overly optimistic but here it goes

Fulton (lock)
Jose Jose (lock)
Cullen (could lose to Utah...just kidding, I think we get him if we decide he is better for two years because of the instant help than a James Stone with a few years to work)
James (could lose to UGA)
Leifheit (could lose to UNC)
D Robinson (could lose to Miss. school)

If we missed on any of them I think the staff pulls out all the stops on Morgan Moses. I would not be mad at Arie K taking any of those slots, and I think 7 OL is actually possible. I think Jose Jose and Leifheit can both play next fall because they are EE and I think Cullen and Morgan Moses have that potential as well, Cullen because he is JC and Moses because he has been growing and playing against higher quality opponents for a year at prep school. Fulton has great upside D Robinson has great upside but I think both of them will be more in a reserve role.

I want a class that makes it impossible for Brimfield to start unless he works twice as hard.

I also think Chaz Green would make me happiest of any UF kid we could turn.

a little harsh for an 18 year old high school kid who is thinking about life after football as well?

Sorry PressVol, I see you are at Emory. Enjoy the bars of Virginia Highlands, but please understand that hating Duke is a responsibility of every red blooded American who does not go there. Dickie Vitale alone gives me 500 reasons a year to despise the program. Being in DC around d bags who try to pretend that their school has the academic prestige of the schools from further north that rejected them just makes me more angry.

I can admit that UT is not ranked the highest in the world, I do not have to constantly strain to pretend we compete with Vandy except in a few select programs I did not major in or tutor.

He is going to have a fun time though playing major conference D 1 football, so his life is pretty sweet.

Keep signing defensive linemen they make great offensive linemen! They are quicker and faster!

I saw some Jose Jose video at a camp on Rivals and he looked absolutely terrible. Just really heavy with no balance. His game tape wasn't very impressive either. From his video I can't believe he has as many offers. Maybe the loss of weight and improved strength will be a huge change but his video was just awful.

Chaz Green is a Florida commit?

Did i miss something?

All I have heard is that he is a strong Florida lean

I dont understand why everybody forgets about Revis at center. I think it is very likely that he starts at center next year. And I think it is very likely that he develops into a very good player at the position.

IMO more than likely Jose Jose or Hood.

or the other Freshman from Tennessee that will likely redshirt this year. He was always considered a center prospect just needed to add weight and strength. It appears that there will be a lot of interesting young options on the O-line next year. They'll be fun to watch develop but it could get ugly at times next year. This will be a beast of a line in 2011 and beyond.

Cullen, Moses, James and Leifheit, or Arie K is who I am hoping for still. If we need Stone it will be because the coaches missed on one of the above IMO.

Cullen moses and leifheit sound like the three we may lead for but I think that it may be tough for james now that it sounds like he might be a georgia lean.
