19th in steals per game and 27th in turnovers forced per game. Other than those stats, however, we're not in the top 50 nationally in any (positive) category.

Through 10 games we are ranked:
* 110th in scoring margin (7.9 ppg)
* 178th in scoring offense (64.9)
* 65th in scoring defense (57.0)
* 155th in FG % (40.2)
* 195th in FG % defense (39.4)
* 320th in 3-point FG % (23.1)
* 271st in 3-point FG % defense (33.9)
* 120th in assists per game (14.1)
* 160th in assist-turnover ratio (0.82)
* 164th in rebounds per game (39.2)

I couldn't watch after the 1st Quarter.

Maybe it changed, but we were not FUNDAMENTALLY Sound.

Stanford made us look stupid and slow........... maybe we are, I don't know. I thought we had a higher Bball IQ than what we showed.

Maybe we'll get it..............soon!

You can relate those stats to effort and coaching.. Most others can be related to talent.(and coaching)

This one right here is the one that's the most worrisome:

195th in FG % defense (39.4)

You know why? Because Holly will focus on it to the exclusion again of everything else including the offense. And this poor team will never learn how to shoot or score.

Most of those stats synch with the bad team that we see, but a couple seem curious.

I should go look at the individual games--but I can't imagine that we are averaging 14 assists a game. We are usually under 10.

Also, is it possible that we are 164th in rebounding? That bad? Overall, an absolutely embarrassing set of stats. I mean, it's normal not to be terrible high in a few categories--but we are low in just about every category.

UT has averaged just less than 15 assists per game over the last 5 years. The D1 leaders in assists have averaged around 22. I don't think assists have ever been a big part of Tennessee's style of play. Over the last five years UT has had 3 negative A/TO years and the other two the ratio was just barely over 1.0.

UT's rebound margin is +3.9. The current rebound leader is MD with a margin of 21.8. That might be misleading because of MD's weak schedule. Rebounding has always been a hallmark stat for Tennessee teams so I was surprised to see such weak rebound numbers.

I've been watching the LVs for 30 years and this is maybe the worst performing team I've witnessed. Can't shoot, can't rebound, can't handle the ball. I don't see the toughness anymore. Graves leaves it on the line every night. Maybe her effort will rub off on the others. I have my tickets to the SEC tourney, but I may get to play a lot of golf instead.

Aside from rebounds, none of those is particularly surprising since we know they turn the ball over a lot and don't shoot well. But, regardless, it's disappointing.
