I know the big topic everyone is talking about is whether or not CDD will be fired. Most seem to think he will be.

Regardless of whether or not he is our coach next year - what is the outlook and status of our roster? Obviously, the big part of that is whether or not Bray, Hunter, and Patterson go pro. Personally, I think Bray and Hunter would be silly to go pro after less than stellar years. Patterson may be another story.

But beyond them -- how does our roster look next year? How many starters do we lose or have returning? In effect, what will the coach next year, no matter who it is, have to work with?

Thanks!

BRAY-2 round
hunter-1 round
CP-3 round.

I mean, its not like they are going to be free agents or be drafted in the seventh round...

Not sure about the roster. We need immediate help in the secondary. The schedule does not play in our favor. Those are two major hills to climb. New coach or not, don't see it being much better next year.

Hunter is leaving. He is projected as a high 1st round pick. Patterson will depend on if he is eligible to stay and what they predict as his draft stock.

5 - 7 next year if Dooley is still here. 7 - 5 with a proven coach that can pull in a decent class

I dont think anyone can say right now. CP is gone, i think we all know that just from what we have heard about his grades. I think JH is too. TB might stay, and probably should but i really think it depends on who the coach is, also right now we dont know a thing about recruits, even those that have committed, will they still be committed once a coaching change is made, and depending on who that change is, do we pick up better recruits that might be able to contribute immediately? I mean, right now, there is no way any of us can even guess at what next year holds.

I'd say you should reverse Bray and CP. James also likely goes 1st/2nd Round.

With that said we could get in the best coaching staff in college history and still be staring 8/9 wins at best.

I agree, we will be in the wilderness for awhile no matter who the new coach is. The only difference is the better the coach the better recruiting, coaching and quicker we dig out.

What really angers me is that we will have at least 4-5players drafter this year if they do leave and have only won 4 games thus far.

Bray
thomas
CP
Hunter
---maybe James---

Schedule does us no favors next year and we're losing our top 4 pass-catchers. Next year won't be great no matter who we hire.

I think it's hard to predict if you take who the coach will be out of the equation. Patterson is gone. Dallas is gone. Revira is gone. PWag is gone. ZRog is gone. Bartholomew, Lathers, Bohannon, Teague are gone. Regardless of coach all those guys are gone.

Then there are the juniors who are elegible. Hunter and Bray top the list, of course. I think they could both benefit from another year, but not under Dooley, might as well move on. Stone, Fulton, James and Bullard are all elegible to go, all would be better off with another year, but...all the D line guys McCullers, Sentimore, Couch, Hood, Walls...Eric Gordon, Byron Moore at DB would be elegible. All of these guys should probably stay but with a coaching change on the horizon who can really say.

Do the players stay if Dooley stays or are they over him enough to take less now and not risk injury? What happens if the miracle of Gruden happens? Are they more inclined to stay under that scenario? What if we get a new coach, not named Gruden?

Eric Gordon gone. So at safety McNeil and healthy Brian Randolph linebackers maggit Johnson other 2 who knows dline McCullers sentimore corey miller or Jordan Williams maybe jacques at linebacker or end. Corners coleman and maybe vonn bell if her comes here. That's defense

Next year will be a pain to watch (again) at least we will have a new staff.

Gordon is just a junior nobody on d besides the seniors are leaving this year. Only mccullers could come out and probably get drafted 4-6th round. Any db on this team getting drafted is slim to none at best.

if dooley is back there is no tennessee football next year. we will win 4 games and our recruiting will suck. think it is time for cheek hart and dooley all to leave. hart should not be allowed to pick the new coach. he is incompetant at best
