It was about HS boys playing on girls teams.

A 6'2 boy playing girl's volleyball.

And 5 boys playing on a girl's field hockey team, skirts and all.

I was wondering if any of you saw this and what your thoughts were.

Well, it's certainly a conundrum. On the one hand, everybody is all good and excited with girls being able to play on boys teams, football, etc. But while most of us cringe at boys playing on girls teams, a lot of people don't say anything about it because it would be ceding that boys are naturally physically superior to girls in athletic competition.

I'll admit it... Men are naturally superior to women in sports like basketball, football, baseball, etc. and many more like golf. So if a woman wants to play with the men, I'm all for it, but I think it's wrong to have men play in women's events.

As for the kid who plays voleyball, to they not have powderpuff and powder tuff?

I grew up and wrestled in Dyersburg, and we were one of the first teams in the state to allow girls to wrestle. We had no choice, the Coach couldn't legally Cut them if they could keep up with the practices.

I've since never had a year (of now 11 in wrestling, counting 8 coaching) when I didn't have a girl on a team. If they can survive the practices and the Beatings, they'll work harder than most guys.

Now then. When we heard about girls getting to wrestle, we went to our A.D. and demanded to play Volleyball. we played all the time in the summer, and were pretty good. The AD never even gave it a second thought. "TSSAA calls it Girls Volleyball....it's specific. Wrestling is just called Wrestling." Never even THOUGHT about taking it to the board.

So, I think that these guys are just doing this because they can.....probably for the same reason we tried to.

But Hey, if you're gonna have it EQUAL......

I'd wrassel a girl. As long as she was hot....and oiled....and I would lose.......lose, yeah, I would lose big time......NOT. I would be a winner. :biggrin2:

The match doesn't matter. Even if she beats you, you're still a winner.

I wrestled for 5 years in highschool and would have enjoyed a female to practice with for over 2 hours, than some smelly zit faced goof ball.
