Obviously we will be one of the four #1 seeds. But with Nebraska losing in the semi-finals today, we should be bumped to the overall #3. The biggest positive would be that we wouldn't have to face the beat down from UConn until the finals.

Noooo....I mean WILL. We will be one of the 4 #1 seeds. But from those 4 I would hope we get the overall #3. Although I would rather stay in the Memphis region so it could be a catch 22.

We should be the 1 seed in the Memphis region. That means we would play our 1st and 2nd round games at home. However, that would likely set up an Elite Eight game against Duke, which will be a very tough regional final.

i don't believe we will be the overall 3rd #1 seed because Nebraska only has one loss and we have two. their SOS was about as tough as ours.

These columns will be skewed, I'm sure. This is prior to Nebraska loss. We'll soon know where we stand in seeding. This is RPI ranking.

Rank Prev Rank Name Conf W-L
1 1 Connecticut Big East 33-0
2 2 Tennessee Southeastern 30-2
3 3 Stanford Pacific-10 29-1
4 4 Nebraska Big 12 30-0

Our SOS is a lot stronger than Nebraska's. But, they'll put the teams where they want them.

I've been trying to figure out the seeding like everyone else. Only, I throw out the numbers and think about how the most money will be made. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think LV's are in the opposite bracket from UCONN no matter what. If they're both in the same bracket, most of the money and most of the looks go towards that side. I think if they're opposite, there's more people and more money following both sides of the bracket hoping for the "ultimate" UT/UCONN match. For some reason, there has been a lot of interest generated in seeing a UT vs UCONN match up. Well, again, this match up follows the money. Just my opinion. We'll know tomorrow who plays where.
