Last year it was the Pitt Panthers. Out of this year's four: UK, KU, Duke and Syracuse, who's overrated and will be put out first?

Duke is the most overrated, but I have Kentucky as the most likely to go down. They are going to have to play out of their minds from the 2nd round on to make the Final Four.

Yeah I think Texas is a real dangerous team for Kentucky to play...I could see them losing that game.

Actually, that's probably the easiest BCS opponent they could hope to draw. Texas has been god awful down the stretch. So has Wake as well.

I see ETSU giving Kentucky a game for about 10-15 minutes, though.

I think they got all four #1 seeds right on this year. If Northern Iowa was set to play anyone but Kansas in the second round, I'd give them a real chance to win.

I'd say Kentucky will go down first. They are not prepared to play a team 5-on-5. Get ready to hear the Kentucky Faithful cry, whine, scream and moan about "not getting any calls". They won't have Tom Eades and TV Teddy calling their games.

Duke, without question. Barely won the ACC tourney in a watered down year. They landed in a weak bracket, but they'll lose to the first decent team they come across, perhaps even Texas A&M or Louisville.

Syracuse...not because they are overrated but because they dont seem to be playing their best ball right about now.

With that being said, I feel UK will be the first #1 to lose.

...and UK didn't barely win the SEC tourney in a watered down year?

Maybe it's just me, but Duke has not looked like a good team this year. They look more like a 15 seed jacking up 3s nonstop rather than a powerhouse 1 seed

Geez, why all the love for Texas? They can't shoot, can't hit FT's, can't defend, and lost their starting PG for the year about 2 weeks ago. If they weren't playing the worst at large team in the field, they would go out in the first round.

I've got aTm over Duke.

First of all, what exactly constitutes a watered down year in SEC basketball, it's generally mediocre. And they did put a 29 point beatdown on the Vols in the semi's, who were at least the third best team in the conference. Duke scraped by seeds #9, #12, and #7, plus they got thrashed in their marquee non-conference game against Georgetown. They have three reliable scorers and a PG that gets by on smarts more than athleticism. I'm not knocking Scheyer, BTW, just stating fact. They rely on the three pointer too much and they have a rotation of stiffs down low that aren't ready to take over.

ETSU came as close as anyone to winning the 1-16 game against Oklahoma around '89. I'd love to see them pull off the first ever true upset against UK.

I don't think there's any chance it will happen, but I'll watch the game and root for the Bucs. Since most everyone in Johnson City is a UT fan, it would be twice as sweet.

As for Texas, they have the talent to beat anyone including UK, but they have been bad down the stretch. I just don't see them putting together a full 40 min good enough to top the wildcats.

TX doesn't have the talent to beat KY. Just isn't true. Anyone that beats KY in this tourney will do so because KY plays poorly.

They have the frontline to at least compete with the Cats. I'd be shocked if they kept it within 15 points, though.

You're not the only one.

I dont have Texas getting past Wake.

They are a disciplined team that hits free throws and doesn't beat themselves. They appear to be the weakest team of the four but they have the easiest road. Kansas got hosed in my opinion. If they come out of their region and win it all they will have earned the title.

I think Kentucky and Duke will go down first. Kentucky probably quicker than Duke. It seems like all a team has to do to beat Kentucky is just weather the storm. You have to jump out on them early. Then, Kentucky is going to make a big run. They've done this repeatedly. The question is, will a team crap themselves, or hang in there? If a team can withhold Kentucky's runs, and still make shots themselves, they will be fine. It just takes a solid 40 minutes of basketball with a controlled mentality.

I've said all along that Kentucky is the most talented team in basketball, no doubt. But they're also the youngest and least experienced. I've got Syracuse winning it all. I just feel like they don't have the target on their back like the others do, and Duke sucks. And I don't see a 2 or 3 seed being explosive enough to really take it home. Nobody really knows. Can't wait.

Which they have been prone to do... I think Huggs is quite capable of taking out UK in the Elite 8.

Saw a stat this mornign that in UK's 2 losses this season, Kentucky made only 5 3-pointers (total- 3 against USC, 2 against you guys). In every win that UK has won by double digits, they have hit 7 or more 3's. It would seem that perimeter shooting may be the key for these young Cats.

I couldnt have said it better myself. I agree 100%. If they do make it to Vilanova remember they beat Duke easily by 20 last year. I will expect the same kind of result if they finally get pass the sweet 16.

Agreed, I also said that if you guys are draining 3's, you'll win it all. I'd be extremely shocked to see a team shooting the 3 ball that poorly all season come out and light it up for six straight games, though.

We could probably go 0-fer against ETSU and win, so make that 5. ;)
