Stinky's Fish Market. Long wait, average food.....not impressed.

Agreed. Very disappointed. Price was silly, too.

Try the hole in the wall up the road, Local Catch. Get the Nachos as an appetizer. Also, hit the blue mountain creamery.

People bicker over restaurants just like music.

I enjoy going here when in that area.

Went once, unimpressed with the food and cash only. Greyton Seafood Company, Local Catch and The Craft Bar are all on point. There is new AJs Greyton, don't waste your time on that one either. The Red Bar in Greyton is supposed to awesome but the lines are always to long for my taste, even in the off season.

Venture down to Seaside and go to Great Southern Cafe, excellent. Barefoot Barbecue is a pass.

Cafe 30A - legit
Great Southern Cafe - legit (Blue crab claws are banging just like the rest of the menu)
George's - legit
Paradis - legit

Not on 30A
The Donut Hole(HWY 98) - legit
Fat Clemenzas(HWY 98) - legit
Borago (Used to be on 30A but moved to HWY 331) - legit
Camille's Cafe(Scenic HWY 98) - legit (Great breakfast sandwiches, covered outdoor seating)

Do NOT eat at AJ's Seafood & Oyster Bar.

If you're going to Seaside just to visit or to dine at Great Southern Cafe you have to stop at Duckie's Shop Of Fun. Very cool toy store with a lot of throwback toys and candy.

My Stinky's Fish Camp visit was positive. No wait (lunch) good food, friendly staff.

Grouper/sweet bun sandwich was very good.

Wife had the lunch special of the day, one of the largest burritos I've seen and it was pretty good also.

YMMV

I like stinky's and elmos down there and think bouchamps and AJ's is way overrated. McGuires also has the best pot roast you will ever eat.

My wife and I ate at Great Southern Cafe while staying at Watercolor which is within walking distance to Seaside. The food and ambience was excellent.

My go to's in the area:

Craft Bar in Grayton Beach
Wine World in Watercolor
Surfing Deer in Santa Rosa (only went once but it was excellent but pricey; upscale)

In the larger area including Destin:

Mimmo's (Italian)
Boshamps - outstanding for fish and southern fare.

McGuire's!! I completely forgot to mention that! We need a good Irish pub here in Knoxville like McGuire's. That Irish Times in Turkey Creek was a total joke. Grossly overpriced liquor.

If I were young again..... and single....I would get a summer job as a waiter or bartender or pool boy at one of the resorts along 30A. I think all of the prettiest girls from Texas, Georgia, Mississippi and Tennessee vacation or have houses there. Not so many Bammers, as they largely go to Gulf Shores or Orange Beach....thank the Lord.

Boshamps served me the worst shrimp 'n grits I have ever had. The grits were toasted and and came in a diagonal cut square.

Brotula's was much better.

Surprised to hear that - was there a couple months ago and the catch of the day was served over grits that were some of the best I've had - creamy and delicious. Your picture is not at all like the grits I've seen there.

Haven't had a bad meal (or service) there in about 10 visits

Had a fantastic meal at Brotula's a couple weeks ago.

However, the best dinner we found was at Vintij in Destin, almost to Miramar.

We usually stay at Sandestin Golf and Tennis
My wife and I love Vintji Wine Bar(though we don't drink). Great food reasonable prices. Located in a small stip mall on 98.

Yes, from the outside, it is very unassuming. Absolutely fantastic food, though, and an interesting wine selection from less-commercialized vintners.
