Nice to see 3 capable DTs thus far - Williams, O'Brien, Williams... Hopefully Mixon and Sawyers develop as well

He'll definately get Oaklahoma's attention.. and if so. may pull a double team. if he puts up a good enough fight the one doubling wont be able to slip off and block AJ or another LB.

they said on the radio,he couldn't move well with the knee braces,he had never played with them before,so he took them off,and I think everyone could see how well he can move without them... well played game on his part...he stepped up his game immensely...

Very impressive...we haven't had a guy like this for awhile...Kahlil and Quay at least, for next season and possibly Shy...gonna start being the norm rather than exception.

How do you get Owen Williams was everywHere? He made 2 plays on defense? One a sack & the other he ran down a RB from the side. The only defensive players I see everywhere are AJ & Reeves-Maybin. The rest are sporadic at making plays. Jordan Williams has been the biggest disappointment thus far on defense. You can say the same for Maggitt as well.

Owen Williams is credited with 5 tackles and 2 sacks on the UT page. It's one thing to have to be pessimistic and dismissive. It's another to disregard facts when doing so.

It seems like all of his plays came on like two straight series. I remember thinking at the time that he was killing it... during that span.

That's definitely right. He got red hot for a few plays. It'll be interesting to see whether or not he is ever able to sustain that kind of effort.

The play he made near the sideline impressed me. I didn't expect him to be anywhere near the tackle when it was made.

I'm sure conditioning is an issue. I remember some talk after he got here that he needed a lot of work in that regard. Good to see him contributing today.

I heard Mixon's name a couple of times. Saulsberry returning healthy would help quite a bit. We need more production from the ends, Vereen and Maggitt.

I don't think that the D line will be a huge concern except against power running teams like Ga and Bama. They will improve all season as well.

To my knowledge Sauls hasn't even practiced. I think the knee injury was worse than thought. Sauls already had conditioning issues and was 3rd string coming off last years injury. I'd be surprised if he is a factor this year.

2 sacks is solid for a DT. He made more plays in one game than McCullers seemed to do all year.
