Started with passports hiding in plain sight (eventually found). First flight cancelled. Drove to Nashville and caught a flight there. Got to Miami, and transportation to port was an empty bus except hubby and me. Traffic was a monster with a boat show in town, so the driver was taking back roads, after driving over the flexible barriers to get to the exit off the freeway. Got through the check in process at the terminal without ever slowing down.

That's how it all started.

My procedure went well, and since we were in Atlanta, my wife and I went to Mary Mac’s Tea Room for a late lunch. Two tables over, a group of funeral directors in town for a convention spontaneously broke out into song. One espied me turning to look and said, “So, you like that!” They proceeded to serenade the room with old spirituals in perfect harmony. One moved to accompany them on piano. Everyone paused to enjoy it. Afterwards, I spoke with them briefly and wished them success at their convention.
